Gutierrez wins Ecuadorian presidency in a landslide

Lucio Gutierrez will be Ecuador's next president as the ongoing vote count indicated that his rival, multimillionaire Alvaro Noboa, will be unable to overcome his wide lead.
With 97.88 percent of the ballots counted, Gutierrez had 54.33 percent of the valid votes to Noboa's 45.67 percent.

“Stunning” Falklands Photographs

An exhibition of Falkland Islands photographs by the wildlife expert and artist, Ian Strange, and his daughter, Georgina, on view at the London Falklands Government Office has been praised by the new Governor, Mr Howard Pearce.
