Bolivian government and opposition agree and call for calm
Bolivia's government and a key opposition figure appealed on Saturday for calm following days of political violence which have left at least 16 people killed in clashes. A summit of South American leaders to address the situation has been convened for Monday in Santiago de Chile.
Aeroflot Airliner 737 Crashes, Killing All 88 Passengers
A Boeing 737 passenger jet has crashed near the Russian city of Perm in the central Ural mountains killing all 88 people on board, Russian news agencies reported.
Argentine leader tempts farm chiefs to join politics
Former Argentina president Eduardo Duhalde has called on the leaders of Argentina's farm rebellion to engage actively in politics, urging them to participate in government and congressional posts. Farm protests should not fade away, he said.
