UK Primer Minister Gordon Brown’s government borrowed a record £163.4 billion in the 2009/2010 financial year, according to figures published Thursday. While it is the biggest budget deficit since the Second World War, the figure is lower than Chancellor Alistair Darling’s prediction in the budget of £166.5 billion for the year. Read full article

What is the relevance of reducing UK armed forces? Even CK has ruled out a military solution.

And how does the UK sitting down to negotiate get Agentina sovereignty of the oslands? A negotiation doesn't have a pre-defined outcome. The outcome of any negotiation could be that Argentina drops its silly little claim.

If Argentina goes into any negotiation only willing to accept one outcome, the handing of sovereignty to Argentina then thats not a negotiation, thats a country making demands it has zero ability to enforce.
