The national Air carrier of Chile flies once a week from Santiago Chile to the Falkland Islands, this is by far the best way to travel to the Falklands in both cost and service, though it will take you longer as you would normally need to stay overnight in Santiago both ways. However this isn't a hardship as Santiago is a very pleasant city to explore..

Hope that they will be more reliable than those used by Air France between Brazil and Paris.

I wonder when will be the day that the rest of us in Southamerica can travel from our own countries to the Falklands. Uruguay has a new beautiful airport and sea port but the government is subservient of the “Cabildo of Buenos Aires”. It's very sad to trade freedom for argentinean crumbs.

Be an ally to Britain and the Falkland Islands. Street protests. Close “the” bridge. In fact, destroy the bridge. Remember, Argentina has designs on “reclaiming” Uruguay.

#4 Liberty - The government of Buenos Aires has nothing to do with controlling Uruguay´s airport and/seaport. Perhaps the Argentina federal government has plenty of muscle (unfortunately), but the mayor of Buenos Aires can barely control his own city.

Ahhh! But Twinky is always telling us how he and his colleagues are working on getting the Lan Chile flight to Stanley cancelled and getting Uruguay to fall into line.

Surely you couldn't be suggesting that Twinky is talking out the back of his neck OR, God forbid, lying?
