    Nice pirate flag

Dilma Rousseff just denied you entry to port and you're sending letters, I don't think sending letters from an illegal colony is a very sensible thing to do. I doubt the letter ever got to her.

    Grow up Marty.

You think your pathetic argument is so important all the time, and it isn't, some people have suffered tragedies due to flooding, and anyone would reasonably understand that it is more important to send their condolences than maintain petty squabbles with immature people like yourself.

    You really are beneath contempt.

I couldn't begin to calculate how many people have suffered at the hands of the British throughout your wretched history, I wouldn't bring up suffering and tragedy if I were you... pirate.

And now the tables have turned... but you're still at it with your false English cavalry, a premeditated attempt to gain some kind of sympathy from Brazil. They want nothing to do with you and I don't blame them, keep your letters, your fake flag, your warships... all that garbage away from South America.

Don't worry pirate, we're there for each other, we don't need you.

Missing the point again Mart, read it again!

It says that the FIG sent letters .... the FIG .... that's the point.

Taking a leaf out of Argentina's book, if you tell enough people then maybe they'll remember something. Now maybe these countries, along with Chile who had letters after the earthquake, will remember that the FI have a G ....

Then all the UK has to do is hand over the foreign and diplomatic responsibilities to the FIG whilst keeping defence and the FIG start turning up at more and more places representing themselves ....

Good experience for eventual independence :-)

It's completely outrageous to see this kind of crap, A bloody colony was unjustified in the XXI century and in conflict with Republic of Argentina. Where the pirates have no access to any port in South America, and at any time Chile will have to join the bloke not to admit any vessel pirates. These actions are not justifiable disrespectful not influence the sovereigns over the Malvinas Islands.

There is no such thing as “the FIG”, there is only the UK. Remember that next time you see a British ship turned away from Brazil, though I suspect you won't be trying that again to avoid embarrassment .

Only the UK, with everything that's going on, would be stupid enough to think that Brazil can't see through your schemes. Exploiting a tragedy for political reasons is something Dilma Rousseff won't forget.

Divide Et Impera, England's true royal seal , try that next time instead of “FIG” then maybe it'll seem sincere and official. ;-)

The very reason for the existence of those letters is political…..
The only reason for mentioning them here is political…
They are nothing more than political documents…
Neither money nor practical help attached…

The only one in Brazil or Australia getting anything positive from those letters will be some undersecretary’s little kid getting a couple of funny stamps for his/her treasury box.

I suppose we should do away with birthday cards, Christmas cards, messages of sympathy and all of those things that are expressions of humanity then. In terms of money and practical help, perhaps the only thing a small island community can offer to SA largest nation is thoughts and prayers. Do not they have some spiritual value (if not material).

If every action in Argie eyes has another motive then this must be a sign or a symptom of the paranoia endemic in Argentine society.

Anyway, more important and profitable things to be getting on with!

I remember the 2010 Chile earthquake (the only country in South America still allowing you access to port though lord knows why). Argentina was the first to respond, most countries in the world sent millions of dollars in help, including Argentina. Both the US and Argentina sent several C-130 cargo planes loaded with food and medicine. The Brazilian Air Force sent an aircraft transporting the Brazilian Navy field hospital .

The UK? Nothing, it was the British Red Cross that donated £50,000 for which I truly admire, given that they had their hands full already. Other UK-based aid organizations offered help, but not the government.

Oh but wait! They did send a nice letter from their colony of pirates with “FALKLAND ISLANDS GOVERNMENT” written all over it, I'm sure that helped.

Funny, I don't see your pirate flag on the list of humanitarian response to the Chile earthquake.

Really... don't worry about South America, we've got it.

Why on earth is Argentina so upset? The people of the Falkland Islands are merely expressing their deepest sympathy to Brazil and to their kith and kin in Australia for the terrible recent disasters that have afflicted both Countries.
Is Argentina that insecure or simply inadequate?

Together with a donation of £5,000 from the Falkland Islands Government, residents have raised over £26,000 to help towards the rebuilding of 800 homes in the Chilean town of Lolol in the province of Calchagua. I see nothing insulting in Martin's remarks. Such manifestations of condolence - whether by the FIG or by any other government on earth -can always be interpreted as an exercise in PR. What I find curious in all this, is Mercopress's role in informing readers every time the FIG decides to do something like this, to write something to somewhere in the world, no matter how unremarkable this is. It's almost like Mercopress is a mouthpiece to the FIG, almost like PressTV is to the Iranian gov and ChinaDaily is to the Chinese Communists.

Well, most governments on earth share the distinction of being official, most… not “the FIG”. That's what makes the letter to Brazil NOTHING but an exercise in PR.

As far as Mercopress, we all know what will happen if we question their motives for posting these type of articles. Don't we? ;-)

Jesus Christ (now I am guilty of Blasphemy) this is getting so far out of context (again) it is untrue.

Think - Mercopress put a picture in this story, so what? It is a picture of a flag, and saying that the flag is being waved at Brazil's victims is getting a bit far fetched. The focus of the story is that a group of people are demonstrating their sympathy with another group. The fact that you bunch of nutters are responding to the picture of a flag shows how separated you are from reality. I suppose you think the Isladers are actually reveling in the death of countless civilians (that us the way it is coming accross).

If you don't like Mercopress then go somewhere else. I suggest you spend more time with your clinical psychologists if you think that a letter of condolence to Brazil and Australia is in any way offensive or insulting.

Martin - we will talk down to you if we want to. It is called freedom of expression, if you don't like it then so what. Right back to this chapter and a cup if tea!

Isn't Argentine claptrap wonderful? Total assholes, all of them.

Here's some thoughts for you c**ksuckers. In 2010, Haiti suffered a major earthquake. I've just been reading about it. Did you know that aid, including relief and search and rescue workers, arrived from such places as the Dominican Republic, the United States, Britain, Canada, Israel, Chile and Sri Lanka.

Other South American countries, notably Argentina and Brazil, apparently did nothing. Strange that, isn't it?

This is all utterly contemptible. When the Chilean earthquake happened, Falkland Islanders raised a massive amount of money. It came from children' pocket money, raffles, dances......all because of the sympathy we felt for our Chilean friends and neighbours.
You can turn it into something squalid and mean if you like; all it does is show us, once again, why we don't want anything to do with you.
I only hope that Argentina is populated in the main by decent and sane individuals who bear little resemblance to the nut jobs we get on here.

Apparently, aside from being hateful and not very bright, Typhoon's also a liar.

Brazil was the first country to deliver financial aid to aid following last year's earthquake: http://www.terradaily.com/reports/World_Bank-managed_Haiti_aid_fund_only_20_percent_full_999.html

”A 500-million dollar pledge of aid for Haiti quake relief promised three months ago is only 20 percent full, the World Bank said Wednesday.

    (...)

“Cox said that so far Brazil had donated 55 million dollars, Norway 31 million, Australia 8.6 million, Colombia 3.2 million and Estonia 50,000 dollars.”

As of July 2010, Brazil was the country that most contributed financially to the aid fund. Where's US, UK, and Israel, you pubescent wanker?

Actually, the US then Canada spent the most on hati but yes i agree brazil did a lot to help out with hati, it's very commendable.

As far as i know the US sent 17 ships and like 10,000 men to help out along with spending over a billion.

Having read some of the angry comments from some Argentines on this story has made me feel sorry for them. Sucn anger in their sentences, so much energy and hostility, against something that has absolutely no direct consequences over their lives, but it is so important to them they are willing to crush those people whose lives would be deeply effected. I feel so sorry for them, they have been lied to so many times it has become part of their 'truth'. But I am sure I will be talked down to and lectured by the Argentines on here about my lack of knowledge on this subject, even though I live in the place in question and was born here. But people from an angry and bitter country, who have never been to the Falklands, obviously know better! It is actually a shame all of you have been conned and lied to like this.

Provide sources. Every nation on earth pledged some aid to Haiti the first weeks after the earthquake. But the link I showed asserted that few had actually delivered. Six months after the earthquake, the US and Canada had not even begun to send the cash. And be that as it may, that's not even my point. The point is that Typhoon - who on other threads tend to spout “Aryan Nation”-like racist discourse when referring to Latin American countries and peoples - told a lie about South American aid to Haiti in order to glorify American, British and Israeli assistence - which is apparently fictional assistence - to that nation.

Zethe, I found the following on this subject:

”Donors promised $5.3 billion at an aid conference in March, about two months after the earthquake -- but less than 2 percent of that money has been handed over so far to the United Nations-backed body set up to handle it.

Only four countries have paid anything at all: Brazil, Norway, Estonia and Australia.

The United States pledged $1.15 billion. It has paid nothing (...).”

    http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/americas/07/14/haiti.donations/index.html

Well, promising aid is surely good PR. But you know, delivering it actually costs money.

    It's on this list.

“the US and Canada had not even begun to send the cash.”
What your link says it that not all the money promised to the world bank was recieved. Less than a third of all the money that went to hati went through the world bank.

The US gave aid through it's military personel and ships it had in the area. same as canada and the EU.

@Zethee: Read the CNN link I sent above. You said the US had paid 1 billion in aid, but it did not. It only pledged to do so, like tens of other countries in the world. According to CNN: “Only four countries have paid anything at all: Brazil, Norway, Estonia and Australia. The United States pledged $1.15 billion. It has paid nothing.” At least up to July 2010, the US and Canada didn't help financially. And please, aid in the form of “military personel” and “ships” is surely not what you meant when you said the US had already paid 1 billion dollars in aid.

Freedom of expression and valuable dialogue are important to analyze and critique current affairs but all sense of the responsibility that goes with free debate has been lost in this particular case.

It's the same story you linked earlier about the World Bank.

The world bank wasn't the only way that hati relief and aid was given. Most nations have sent supplies and/or personnel instead of money, and/or they pledged or sent money outside of United Nations channels.

For example. US aid is distributed through the military and through the U.S. Agency for International Development. The world bank money was as the story says, tied up in legistation. This does not mean that they were not there helping give the country aid. Direct military aid was set at $379 million and the world bank money has now been delivered even if rather late.

In all honesty i think the US Canada and Brazil sould be congratulated with the efforts they did during the hati situation.

Zeth, you always like to drag the discussion infinitely in order to avoid admitting that you said anything wrong. CNN said the US pledged 1 billion dollars in aid for Haiti: the same value that you had adduced before. Thus, I can only deduce that the source where you read about the US pledge was also referring to the World Bank fund. It's either that, or the US actually pledged to pay 1 billion dollars in Workd Bank aid to Haiti, having already payed in another billion in a separate fund - something I cannot believe unless someone offers me sources for this, that is, that the US actually comitted to paying 2 billion dollars for Haiti. Also, I don't believe CNN would be so harsh on the US for having paid 1 billion in aid - and at the same time that it singles out for praise four other nations that each paid less than 100 million - only because the money was not directed to a WB fund. CNN said the US “paid nothing.” Had it given some money through other vessels other than the WB, it wouldn't have said the US “paid nothing.” I said this knowing how much Americans enjoy believing everybody depends on their assistence, and that the US media is very willing to feed that impression.

The US pledged over a billion in aid money to the World bank's Interim Haiti Recovery Commission. The money was tied up in legistation because of some reason or other that was already ongoing when this whole thing started. This money did get there even though it was late:

@Zeth: I'm sorry, how does the first link support your point? If the values shown under “New Funds” mean the amount of aid already paid by governments who pledged support for Haiti, then the country that has aided Haiti the most wasn't the US, and it wasn't Canada, either: it was VENEZUELA. Why did you say it was the US?

Your link shows something that has perplexed me quite a bit. That wanker countryman of yours, Typhoon, swore that Britain had afforded much help to Haiti. But in fact, according to your link, the UK is THE ONLY major European economy not to have contributed a penny in aid. The only one. Talk about being an asshole. Argentina, on the other hand, contributed with 17 million dollars.

“They also sent the US navy and 16,000 troops to help directly”
I wasn't talking about troops. But since we are here, do you know why the US is no longer the head of the UN peacekeeping mission in Haiti? Because of suspicions as to the US role in the overthrow of the democratically elected Haitian president Jean-Bertrand Aristide in 2004. Before the coup, the US headed the Minustah.

But you're right, the US sent many troops there after the earthquake. So many, in fact, that an editorial on ChinaDaily asked whether the US was planning the annexate Haiti as its 51st state. But it's all about aid, of course.

“these ships would continue to give aid to hati - this was first set at $100 million but quickly grew to $379 million”

Many other countries sent aid in the first weeks after the disaster, as links I showed above assert. Such aid came as food, medicine, and medical equipment. Most haven't published numbers as for how much it costs in dollars. The US did, though. It makes good propaganda, after all. Unless of course a Third World country like Venezuela can afford to help more.

The only thing you should explain is why you said the US and Canada were the countries that had contributed the most in aid for Haiti when in fact Venezuela donated more than the two of them... combined. You should also explain how occupying the island with a whopping and completely unnecessary amount of soldiers amounts to aid, to something Haiti should be grateful to the US in spite of the unholy reputation US troops have forged for themselves in that country.

While these are exciting prospect I am waiting for the South and East Basins to get drilled. Things will get very interesting from then.

They have remained a BOT before any oil and will do if no HC industry emerges. As you will probably agree, the fallout of 1982 invasion and subsequent British victory has had a huge impact on the cultural identities of Britons, Argentineans and Falkland Islanders and as such the Islands became integral to the British Identity during the neo-liberal turn (a largely unidirectional move after the collapse of European communism).

As such there is no conceivable way in which the rights of self-determination of the Islanders could be betrayed by a UK government.

What's the problem with the FIG sending a letter to another government?... I find it PERFECT. The letter is just a way to show kindness towards nations who suffered big tragedies. This kind of gestures are totally welcome in a world where no one seems to care about the others. Who cares about the Arg/UK conflict when we're talking about Falklands, Brazil and Australia? Some people here on MP always comment on Falklands news to argue and sometimes didn't even focus in the article... If I were you I'd see a psychologist.

I recommend to grow up, put aside the paranoia and stop whining like babies over something from 30 years ago, is absolutely sick to have the head stuck in 1982. “Personally, i never mentioned Venezuela because i had not found any links about the level of there involvment in the hati earthquake untill i read cirh. Very commendable of them. The press has not given Venezuela enough credit for the role it's done, it is hardly mentioned in any storys.”

I agree. Unless it is not about urban crime, recession, and the sizing of power by Chávez, the press will never discuss Venezuela. The international press purposelly provides a distorted and stereotyped view of that country. In fact, it does so to every South American country.

I can't see anything wrong with the picture. It's a library picture intended to represent the Falkland Islands Government, and that's what the article is about. Neither Brazil or Australia are our opponents, and neither tragedy happened in Argentina. If you lot choose to get your panties in a twist every time you see a Falkland Islands flag that's your problem.

They did the same with cuba. All the US news reports that cuba did not help at all in the crisis when infact it was Cuba and Venezuela who were there first to help.

Then again Chávez didn't really help his case by going on about how it was a US superweapon that caused the earthquake. Made him sound a little nuts.

But yeah, it took me a while of reading before i even found out about Venezuelas help and even when i did find a story the fact that they gave so much money was kind of glanced over and slightly ignored.

“I personally, would feel very badly if some catastrophe happened in the Falklands and an Argie news agency utilized a picture of an Argie flag waving at full mast to head an article about an Argie condolence letter.”

I suppose that's your mindset. Younger nations often put a lot of emphasis of the sentimental value of flags, Older nations not so much.

This was the MercoPress' picture they put for the article think unless you're claiming the the UK government placed the picture here to try and insult the 30 or so Argentinians and Brazilians on this website

I very much doubt that the actual letters had a massive great flag posted with them.

And it wasn't sent to Argentina. Although Brazil does support you i doubt that the government would have been insulted by letters of sympathy nomatter from where they came from.

Personally i can't see the bad in this story.

    137 WestisBes,

You started by shooting your mouth off and telling me I was wrong, now you're telling me you don't know… classic British behavior.

You're right though… 'Dean Hunt' is probably not his real name… everything he does is fake, fake names (several) fake info, fake life… but he's disturbed enough and stupid enough for anyone to recognize him, on any group, any forum. I wouldn't be surprised if he had several nick names here on Mercopress.

One thing he does when he gets mad like the infant that he is, is ask for proof repeatedly… (like Islander1 is doing right now) usually incredibly stupid questions.

The only country still granting the UK (or “FIG”) access to port, is Chile. So the answer to your question is: EVERY PORT. Ask yourself… When was the last time your fake “FIG” was allowed to dock in South America? Other than in Chile.

Instead of asking… 'how many ports of entry are there in South America? I bet you don't know” like a complete retard.

So you are telling us that no British merchant vessels are allowed to dock anywhere in S America outside Chile!!! - wake up man - I think you will find that several do even in Argentine ports!

171 Zethee, is it you or your boyfriend 'Redhot' I'm speaking to?

Selling weapons to Brazil does not make them your ally, no commitments, no guarantees. Argentina signed a weapons contract with South Africa, so what? They'll do whatever is best for them regardless of any deal they make with us.

It was Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva that signed the weapons contract with Brazil, while at the same time questioning: “What is the geographical, political and economic explanation for England to be in the Malvinas?”
    http://en.mercopress.com/2010/02/24/brazil-s-lula-da-silva-blasts-us-security-council-and-britain

As for Dilma Rousseff? She went a step further by denying the HMS Clyde entry to port, no other choice for the UK but to play it down and admit embarrassment. I don't think the UK will be trying that again anytime soon.

I wonder if those deals made with the UK were indeed finalized, if not she may choose to cancel them like she did with the French and their Dassault Rafale. (worth looking into)

Business is business, nothing more. Brazil's relations with the UK will NEVER take precedence over those with Argentina, no matter what the issue is.

    @180:

If nobody objects, I'll start by proposing the classical composer Alberto Ginastera. Personally I'm a fan of his piano compositions.

I really like his Danzas Argentinas:

especially Dance for a beautiful maiden (worth a second listen):

    Also like the racy stuff:

this is a proper workout. Nice to remember a friend too.

And I'll go with having the world's most famous fat, drug-taking, journalist-shooting football genius/cheat (take your pick, depending on you point of view/nationality). However, he still remains fat, a drug-taker and a shooter of journalists irrespective of your nationality!

I am certain in their hearts the football loving English forgave Maradona at least just a little bit for the above genius, even if against their team in the World Cup...

    Great quote too:

“The goal was scored a little bit by the hand of God, a little by the head of Maradona”

Some people call it cheating... well, a forward has to go for it and I've seen others get away with the odd handball... better to not use hands in football (unless you're a goalie in the area) and to play fair at all times, but the man is a footballing god. We're not worthy. ;-D

Redhoyt, Argentina is Brazil's second most important trade partner. And in this time of overvalued currency, trade with her is vital for Brazilian industry. And mind you, Argentina's role for the welfare of the Brazilian economy is not a recent thing. You are insane to think Brazil will ever downgrade relations with Argentina just to acquire some BAE toys. And while you fantasize Brazil is some threat for Argentina's safety, we're closing our doors for vessels connected to the FI.

I remember reading some time ago that the UK exports more to tiny Ireland than it does to the BRIC countries (combined) or to Latin America as a whole. That is only natural, I guess, for Ireland is Britain's neighbor. Argentina is Brazil's neighbor. As such, she'll always be a natural trade partner for us. And considering how depressed the world economy is and how protectionistic some countries are becoming (Brazil included), I doubt Brazil will achieve a change in its trade pattern any time soon, or even that it is planning to do such a thing. So yes, Argentina will keep being important, and perhaps increasingly more so, in the years to come.

ForgeTIT - you probably shouldn't have mentioned Ireland, O”gaga will think they've sold out.

Interestingly, Ireland comes in about 5th - http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2010/feb/24/uk-trade-exports-imports

Think will love me quoting from the Guardian :-)

My point is that neighbours are good trading partners because its cheaper to get the good there, but the bigger customers are rarely your neighbours. I believe Brazil is making the right moves, how it then deals with its local politics is something that we'll have to wait and see.

MoreCrap - ok, an example. Last Mercosur conference a final announcement was agreed by everyone except Brazil (comcerning the Falklands). It was changed!

You asked for one example and you got it! Still not happy though? Typical Argie.

Have a look at Argentina's GDP which comes in 28th in the 2009 world listing - Brazil = 8th. No other south cone country comes close! Now the word 'dominate' in english can mean more than high heels and whips !

Brazil is the 'big boy' of South America and with its trade powers it will increasingly call the shots for the region. When the US President wants to talk to South America he'll call Brazil first! So will Putin ... or that chinese fella , WhoFlungDung ( or whatever).

And now, as I said above, Brazil's starting to look further afield - http://www.defencetalk.com/china-navy-needs-carrier-killer-missile-28586/

    All perfectly natural.

Have seen boston.com's photos from last week of Brazil's landslides. Cannot donate, but want to send condolence to the people of Teresopolis, Nova Triburgo, Atibaia, Sumidouro, Poco Fundo, Conquista and Sao Bento. Was unable to find Rio newspaper online that had set aside a section for such. Haven't thoroughly researched it; only to learn it's the worse landslide in 40 years, how the death toll is rising and the incredible aerial photo of the slides themselves down so many mountains. Also to send my heartfelt hope that the government, the Red Cross, and all other sources of relief touch as many victims as possible.

That Ireland isn't the trade partner number 1 to the UK is only natural: she's a very small country. Still, of the top 8 importers of UK goods, all but one is European. And that single non-European one, the US, is, like the UK, a North Atlantic country, that is, it shares geographical commonalities with Britain. And finally, that geography matters more than anything else in shaping a country's trade relations is shown in the fact that Ireland - tiny Ireland - imports more UK goods than India and China combined.

You can keep babbling about Brazil looking at the outside world; it will achieve nothing and it is likely not trying to. As I said before, the world economy is depressed and countries are becoming more protectionistic. Brazil will have to stick to traditional partners - specially the ones with the stronger GDP growth figures, because they're the ones who can keep importing Brazilian goods. And as you know, Argentina's growth figures are enviable. Some time ago Argentina was Brazil's number 3 trade partner. She's now number 2. Throughout 2010 there were many news pieces - and you can check them in Mercopress itself - about the growing Brazil-Argentina trade, which was achieving new highs. This points that Argentina is not, as you wish she were, becoming less relevant for Brazil. She's becoming more important.

And finally, that Brazil's larger than Argentina doesn't mean it is a threat to Argentina or to any of its neighbors. The US economy is many times greater than Canada's or Mexico's. But I doubt you consider the US a threat to those countries. No, instead you seem to believe that countries who fear US interventionism in the future, are driven by paranoia.

Well lads I expected to much really, but please allow a brit to help prove a little point,

    officially the Argentine Republic

Argentina was the only Latin American country to participate in the 1991 Gulf War

It was also the only Latin American country involved in every phase of Operation Uphold Democracy in Haiti.[citation needed] Argentina has contributed worldwide to peacekeeping operations, including those in El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, the Ecuador-Peru dispute, Western Sahara,

U.S. President Bill Clinton designated Argentina as a major non-NATO ally

Argentina was also a founding member of the united nations,

Which link, the BBC one? Well, I'm not interested in the viewpoints of superficial scribblers from the international press. The facts were the ones I've told you: Brazil has a very small presence in the international market; things are not going to change anytime soon due to its expensive currency and increased protectionism in world economies; as a result, Brazil will have to stick to traditional partnerships; and as such, the trend is that Argentina will become more, not less, important as a partner to Brazil.

I did read your so called ”BBC” link …..........

First thing I noticed was the pre election date…..

Then I detected the many positive mentions of conservative ex president Cardoso.

I became quite aware of a very familiar “South-American Conservative Media Conglomerate” writing style.

    I began asking myself…………….

Has the BBC really lowered their analytical standards so much or am I being paranoid as that “Hoyt” Lad keeps repeating?

Then………, I reached the last line of the article…………..

Think, I only read the link not that you commented on it.

    I love this part:

”The most important has been the political and economic stability over the past 16 years, first under President Fernando Henrique Cardoso (1994 - 2002).“

During Cardoso's two terms, Brazil's unemployment levels went up to levels not seen since the 60s; GDP growth per capita stagnated; and Brazil had two balance of payments crises: one in 99 and another 3 years later. Apparently that's how the international press define ”economic stability.” As long as foreign speculators are profitting from high interest rates, the economy is considered stable, no matter how much the country's population is suffering.

”Since before Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff officially took office on January 1, there have been persistent reports that she will review some of the big ticket defence items approved by her predecessor, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

These include a plan to review a proposal to buy 11 warships worth $6bn (...)

If the warship purchase is delayed or abandoned, it will be a blow to the UK. Britain’s BAE Systems, Europe’s largest defence contractor, was keen to win the tender.”

I would really hope Dilma reconsiders the whole ”traditional defense” purchase strategy.
It is just too much against any imaginable regional enemy but too little against the big strategic players.
