Mina Invierno, a major coal mine project to be located in Chilean Patagonia, has sparked new controversy in the Magallanes Region. The coal mine will be located on Isla Riesco, Chile’s fourth biggest island, just 80 miles from the region’s capital of Punta Arenas. Read full article

I think it sad that while we critizise China for their coal mine consumption we cheer other nation for the coal production, seems like there is a dubble set of standards, either that or Chilean politicians don't know the meaning of none renewable resources or buyhable industry is, I hope they see Uruguay's exmaple for a better and cleaner future.
