Argentina should not host the world cup,
this may well be a bad idea, just an opinion .

At least Argentina has a climate that won't necessitate the matches either being played at night or the development of new interesting stadium-wide cooling facilities (assuming that you don't want to be treating both teams and half of the spectators for heatstroke at half time)...

Spectacular. Argentina has stadiums and come to 2030 will be another life, has a cultural scene day and night that everyone will enjoy. Not only will you see and feel the football games as he feels an Argentine, but also will feel the life, the millions of things you need to enjoy, through the cities, go for walks and walk around museums, restaurants, shopping, hundreds of works theaters, nightclubs, parks and squares, fields, islands in the middle of the delta, beaches and many more things that I do not remember. But it is the ideal place to travel beyond the natural parks of Argentina, and Bariloche, Perito Moreno glacier, the mountains of Cordoba, Iguazu Falls, the Andes Mountains, Tierra del Fuego, Peninsula Valdes, historic towns the interior of Argentina, the hill of seven colors, the highlands, and the train of clouds, etc etc. Not only will have the opportunity to see football only 90 minutes, but also knowledge from the inside. If you do not want to wait until 2030, leave now. Greetings

Totally agree. and why do they need Uruguay? Can't they do it alone? It's pathetic.

Fido Dido asks: “and why do they need Uruguay? Can't they do it alone? It's pathetic.”

Well mate, if you bothered to read the article in question, you'd surely noticed that URUGUAY was the host in 1930. The problem isn't that Argentina can't do it since they did it in the 80.s but the problem would be for Uruguay to do it by itself since it lacks enough infrastructure to host such a big event by itself. Uruguay is the one celebrating the centenary, NOT your hated Argentinians, they are providing the extra space, got it?

Exactly as aedi said, though I think Fido was just defending Argentina.

Argentina hosted the worldcup in 1978, which we won... in 86 we won again. : P

Now, truthfully... news about something that's supposed to take place 20 years from now, I don't particularly care.

I think it could be a great tournament, there is certainly an immense passion for the game, and the climate would be good at that time of year. South Africa managed to figure out the logistics of hosting it, so I'm sure Argentina/Uruguay can.

Although they'll probably bid, get the highest marks in all fields only to find it awarded to Surinam....Hopefully England will have learnt how to not bottle it by then anyway!
