Velux 5 Oceans. The Ultimate Solo Change is unexpectedly returning to Uruguay after twelve years. The four solo competitors are currently sailing along the South Atlantic and the leading yacht is expected to arrive in Uruguay’s renowned international resort of Punta del Este late Monday. I concur with the Danish race managers.
Salvador is becoming significantly more lawless by the month.
Is also becoming significantly decrepit as the Mayor & Governor signally fail to create and operate a renovation plan for the city. It is a city falling apart at the seams with the highest rate of city gun crimes and murders per capita in Brasil. Not a place for the innocent and unwary to venture.

A great pity for the Yacht Club in Salvador. It would have been a great spectacle.
So different from when Darwin and The Beagle broke their journey many years before.
And such a sad fate for the erstwhile capital of Brasil.
