    (i) Weasel journalism :
    Headline: 'Coincidence' (agreement);
    Body-text: 'Discrepancies' (disagreement).
    Some sub-editors need shooting.

    (ii) “....acknowledgement of the role Brasilia plays as an emerging power.”
    Hey, I know many consider Brasil to aspire to be an emerging continental 'power', . . . . . but Brasilia !??

    (iii) “The US ambassador also underlined the “symbolic meaning” . . . ”, OK, one's mixed race, the other might be - and is definitely a woman, but would it have Symbolic Meaning if one had Sickle Cell and the other cancer??

    This is 'Puff Journalism' at best, and sloppy journalism at its worst.

    You are right Geoff... anyway....If “ Brazil” plays such an emerging power role, I hope to see both presidents taking some action on VISA waivers for Brazilian/American Investors…..Right now, there are thousands of Brazilians (entrepreneurs) ready to invest $$$ in the U.S., however they are (still) not eligible to apply for such visa….
