I'm really aware about this shame, Brazilian Gov is a great lier, Belo Monte Dam will not produce 11.000 MW but just 5.000MW due the rain cycles of the forest... it's writen in Brazilian Gov website... as well it will not supply any Brazilian home but Alcoa and other huge corporations that supported Dilma Russef's campaign. In fact Brazil don't need energy, Itaipu is running at just 2/3 of it's capacity and Angra's nuclear reactors sends energy to the trash... THIS IS REALLY A BIG FRAUD AND THEY ARE PLANING TO BUILD MORE 71 BIG DAMS IN THE AMAZON... Give up about humans rights? What the hell that nazi president have in mind? Kill Indians and destroy the rainforest... THE AMAZON IS THE LUNG OF THE PLANET THEY ARE GOING TO KILL ALL THE POPULATION OF THE PLANET WITH THIS ABSURD... PLEASE, TRUST ME, I KNOW WHAT I MEAN...

    @2 & 3

You two wouldn't be so blasé if it were your homes and livelihood under threat. Why not try thinking about other people for once.

NGO propaganda? The whole point of being an NGO is that you unaffiliated with any govt and are thus Impartial....There is nothing “Propaganda” about saying it is illegal to displace indigenous tribes.

By the way the Dildo, I thought you were against govts violating peoples human rights because you watch Alex the loser Jones :).....Interesting how do you marry those these two apparent contradictions in your thought processes....LOSER!

“The whole point of being an NGO is that you unaffiliated with any govt and are thus Impartial”

That must have been the most naive thing I've read in my whole life.

1 - So Brazil doesn't need energy. Obviously, it is only building the dam because the government likes to be internationally condemned and wasting money for nothing. You my friend are both dumb and brainwashed.

4 - I'm thinking about people. I'm thinking about the country's development needs, which, if met, will benefit people and create jobs.

5 - NGOs are impartial, how hilarious is that! You too are dumb.

Ewwww, an ugly scot that barely speaks and types English is obsessed with a Dildo. Rhauri faggot, you got screwed again by your German queen? Poor peasent.

And yes, I'm against governments that violate human rights. Building a dam for energy need for millions of people isn't a violation against life at all. Number 4 and 5 are brain dead left wing liberals..aka, typical hypocrites who can't stand the development of other nations.

I dont recall any of our royals being in the Hitler Youth, do you Dutchy

    http://personales.ya.com/fororeal/enfrhol.htm

Prince Claus, the German-born husband of Queen Beatrix who employed wit, charm and patience to overcome Dutch hostility and win the affection of his adopted nation, died Sunday 6 october 2002. He was 76.

Claus had been in and out of intensive care for several months with respiratory and heart problems. Doctors at the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam said he died of Parkinson's disease and pneumonia, according to a government statement.

Claus' marriage to Beatrix was initially resisted by the Dutch public, with many residents upset about his service with the Nazi army in World War II and membership in the Hitler Youth.
But his eventual acceptance was reflected on her death, when the country's television and radio stations interrupted regular programming to air special newscasts and documentaries on Claus' life. The government declared a period of mourning and instructed public buildings to fly flags at half-mast until his burial.

The Brasilian Government has been pushed into the spotlight of due process on the Bel Monte scheme for years now.

Dilma Rousseff knows that this energy will be essential to shore-up present domestic energy needs (Black outs are a national hazard), and to afford the country its industrial energy on which national development depends.

The future of the country is not tourism to the 'Feathered' Tupi Tribes, but rapid industrialisation.

I have weighed the balance of large hydroelectric schemes and local ecology/social anthropology.
I come down strongly in favour of the Scheme.

“Building a dam for energy need for millions of people isn't a violation against life at all”
-So just because from kid wants to play on their Xbox, we should flood 500km2 and displace thousands of indigenous most who have lived there far longer than the country of Brazil has been around? You know there are far better ways to get more electricity to the masses, reinvesting in the ancient electrical infrastructure for starters numbnutts :)

“Number 4 and 5 are brain dead left wing liberals”

And number 3, 8, and 11 is a brain dead right wing conspiracy theorist who watches the Alex Jones show from the safety of his mummies house with tin foil on his head living in fear of plastic bottles because he believes they will turn him gay because Alex Jones says so, so it must be true.....

“And yes, I'm against governments that violate human rights. Building a dam for energy need for millions of people isn't a violation against life at all”

So when does violation of human rights become wrong on your rather indeterminate scale? just because there's a tangible benefit doesn't make it OK to ignore the cost to a minority. Mind you it must be hard for you to reconcile morality with the fascist within.....
