Argentina don't be counting the money just yet. The United kiingdom might well soon be re entering the metal mining business ans among the deposits at Cornwalls south croft mine is Lithium. But argentina go ahead control the price of Lithium higher than it's market value so we can undercut you in the same way we undercut Opec when we exported oil. http://www.westernunitedmines.com/news-and-media/300

Just think about....is like a big joke !!!! Chilejoined in a lithium cartel with Evito and Cristinita ???? Not after a while Cristinita will be negotiating the lithium at lowest prices breaking the cartel or Evito will be climing that all the Chilean lithium belong to him....!!!! We have experiencies with both of them (natural gas, borders, etc.) No way...Chile alone by it own road is the best.....for us the Chileans, of course...Our neighbors are not reliables...at all !!!

@16 Chile will always need to foster good diplomatic relations with its' neighbours but economically they are much better placed to trade independently. IMO

He is not complaining about the USA.Anyway, there are million of brits in USA,much more than from Argentina.....
Anyway, many people scaping the crisis in Europe, are landing in Argentina.

    Over 45000 from Spain,last year...
Do not worry,we are getting Englih,Irish,Germans also.......

18@ In the past a lot of Chileans (almost a million) went to work to Argentina because your economy was better than our, but from the 80's we have been growin up much better than you (even during the leftist 20 years gvt.) so a lot of our countrymates are returning to live and work here and, that is a new fact, with a lot of Argentines that need to work and have not the opportunity there looking for a better place here.....Nothing to say the high ammount of Peruvians, Ecuadorians, Colombians and other whom have found their oppotunity to work and live here.....And don't forget that a lot of Chilean investiment is renforcing your economy (retail, energy, airlines, etc.)....
And, yes, you have been there when we needed you (earthquakes) and when we didn´t too (Patagonia robbery in 1881 and on and on, including 1978 almost war), so check your arguments...And don´t forget your GVTs are not reliables at all for us because some very bad experiencies....(gas, treaties, etc., etc....) and the last is closing the free path through the Estrecho de Magallanes as the internationals laws dictate.
Is it good enough for you...????

Sure,Sergio. We should go back to the Viceroyalty of Peru,The capitania de Chile, was a part of that Viceroyalty. You stoled land to Bolivia and Peru...
Anyway, the most inteligent thing to do at the time, should have been, the union of Argentina,Chile,Uruguay and Paraguay,
Another union should be Peru,Ecuador, and Bolivia.Peru and Bolivia, are working for a single country,recently...
So look forwar, that we have a common destiny. Before we splitted, now we merge....

Whats wrong with Argentina? I hear its currently a bit dusty but Kristina's set aside lots of money to compensate all the poor farmers and her own family members, so should be OK in a few years.
