Argentina's state energy company Enarsa has launched an international tender for the delivery of a more-than-expected 90 cargoes of LNG in 2012 to meet rising energy demand, a source said Tuesday. Read full article

    Make sure that you get paid in dollars. The worthless Argentine peso will be devalued soon and will become even more worthless.

    In a few years time that Johson gas prospect in the NFB could be online to contribute. With advantageous tax and royalty arrangments and on the doorstep it would certainly be a great deal for Argentina and help bring down their wholesale costs.

    . . .meanwhile, these imports have got to be exactly financially balanced with exports managed by the LNG importing company.

    Expect to see the tendering companies reducing their tender bids to take account of this additional burden.
