Well done, Gustbury and Guzz.....you never fail to disappoint us all with your total lack of class and inability for sensible contributions to issues concerning the Falklands.

The Falkland Islanders have every right to commemorate such important events such their liberation. They must count their blessings when they look at what mess Argentina is today.....a country that could be great, led by idiots.

Guts and Gizz - you may have forgotton that it is Rememberance Sunday which is the day we remember all those killed in conflicts. The day chosen for this is the Sunday closest (or in this year the actual) date of 11th November. This date marks the end of WW1.

Clearly as a nation as a nation that supported the Axis forces for the majority of WW2 we do not expect you have any shred of decency or honour. By the nature of your comments it is clear our expectations are justified.

Allocating a day to remember those killed in conflit is hostile is it? That is a strange conclusion Gizzum? What more what one expect from a nation that decided to side with facists.

With an attitude like that it is no wonder we are better than you and that you are from the nation that is the spokesperson of disapointment.

    @Guzz and gustbury.

You are just showing your ignorance of British culture and traditions.

We take Remembrance sunday very seriously - we lost just short of 1 million killed in WW1 - and you can add another 250,000 to that if you take into account troops from the Empire. Whatever the rights and wrongs of this conflict, the sacrifice required to achieve victory was horrific.

In WW2 we lost another 450,000 killed, including civilians and had many of our cities bombed and badly damaged, we fought for a just cause - the defeat of Nazism.

Then we lost another 255 in 1982 when you launched your unprovoked aggression against the Falklands.

The Falklanders will be thinking about the later losses in particular - those servicemen and civilians were killed because of your countries desire to oppress them.

The fact that we are remembering the sacrifices required to defeat your attempt to occupy the islands and then force the Falklanders from their homes at gunpoint (that was in your occupation plan - you just did'nt get around to doing it) must really stick in your craw.

So laugh away, and keep laughing. The more you do the more you show yourself up as being the narrow minded fake that you truely are.

I remember, I will remember and, when remembering those that have fallen, I feel humble. Those that have served and those who currently serve our country are a much better man than me.

I am very pleased that the veterans were welcomed by the families of the Falklands (there are STILL no Malvinas you arseholes) but this was to be expected from a close knit community marking their liberation from the despicable country that is AG.

Seeing the islands again must have brought back dark memories for the veterans as well as fond ones about their fallen mates. It is great to see that it has had a therapeutic effect on them. British soldiers: the best in the world.

Marvellous people the Falklanders, great place to live except for the sub-human Malvanistas 400 miles away. But they will be dealt with properly the next time they attempt anything stupid, one way or another.

I have never bashed Argentina. I love the country. Look at my past posts.
I just dont like what its being turned into by the hate doctrine of Cristina Kirchner, it makes me sad to see people so filled with hatred and blind to the mess she is making of the economy.
Im sure some corruption goes on in the UK, like everywhere. But the levels are miniscule compared with the Argentine administration. I know this from talking to friends (Argentinean) who have worked for the government for years.
Two of them dont agree with the regime. They are scared to talk about it, as they are being watched all the time, one thinks he may lose his job as he is not with Cristina. The other cant progress at all in her career. Both are very clever and talented and are desperately seeking a way to move abroad.
These are civil servants. In a non corrupt country, political views of a civil servant are unimportant, as long as you do your job well. I know cos I am a civil servant in the UK. Noone cares if I dont have a photo of David Cameron stuck to my computer (as if!) Noone even cares if i voice my displeasure with some of the policies he implements. Its called free speech. Something which has become rarer and harder in Arge (although the recent march may be showing a backlash)

No action has been taken to clarify that minor incident…… None whatsoever….
I notice though that some of the posters waving their “Faux Indignation” in here today, are the same that laughed back then.

    3)

    Guzz,
To my knowledge I nave never met any of the posters who you call my 'hypocrite friends'. As Ive said before, its not an us vs them situation and to fob off my views as exactly the same as everyone else who doesnt agree with the regime, well, thats as stupid as saying that everyone that was at 8-N is an ultra right fanatacist paid personally by Macri. I admit sometimes I read insulting comments against Argentina on this site and it makes me feel really really sad that there is such hatred, on both sides. I count some of my best friends in the world as Argentinean (and some of those, even, as Kirchnerites)
I accept Cristina is good at making emotive speeches, at uniting people through hate, but if you look at her actual policies and arguments, they are so so flawed. None of my Kirchnerite friends nor people on this website have ever said a viable explanation for why she is allowed to continue the lies about inflation and about poverty in Argentina, and why this is not a fundamental concern for anyone? Can you answer me that?

I thought so. Completely avoiding the issue. I have yet to meet a Kirchnerite who can address it. Are you denying the existence of inflation >25% or are you saying that its okay to have such high inflation and lie about it?
Or do you just have no explanation?
Sorry to break it to you, but inflation is important..and that is a fact not just my idea. Its the value of your money. Everyone suffers, but disproportionately the poorest in society suffer if money loses value. Or do you not agree? Poverty is dropping right? thats why when I was in BA in September thousands of people were sleeping in the streets, thousands more resorting to crime... significantly more than in 2008.
Or let me guess, I am wrong? everything is rosy? Safest city in Latin America? not one of the highest robbery rates at all? This is all a lie made up by Clarin?

Guzz that is not what Im saying at all.
I think Nestor was the best president that Argentina had in decades. However, he has now died and left his widow in charge. She has become drunk on power and is slowly screwing up the economy. Things have been deteriorating rapidly since 2008. Interference in Indec, finding common enemies in the UK for the malvinas, US for the dollar, Spain for Repsol, the middle class and 'ultra right' for everything, and spending tons of taxpayers money on insulting Clarín (which I freely admit is far from perfect, but has been the subject of a hate campaign when the president really had much more important things to do)
These are all distraction tactics as the economy is worsening by the day. Through expropriating and refusing to pay debts, Argentina has lost the respect of the international community and its own businessmen and women, who are desperate to move abroad to more stable and less risky markets. Wait 10 years, the country will be a shell of what it could be. Definitely NOT heading in the right direction.

And people voted for her because of the Nestor death blackmail card, and the 'Argentina united through hate of common enemies' campaign she has been wielding. These distraction techniques are now becoming ineffective as the economy and peoples wealth deteriorates even further.

To have respect for others you must first respect yourself, if you could do that you might find yourself a life worth living.

Then you would not have to spend your time here trying (unsuccessfully) to wind up Brits, who are secure in their identity and belief in themselves.

Remembrance is not big in Argentina because Argentina has not fought any wars, apart from twice attempting to annex British territory in the S Atlantic and getting your arses kicked both times, your military history consists of massacring unarmed Indians and Paraguayans.

Little wonder that you have nothing sensible to say on a day like today, when we remember our heroes, because you have no heroes of your own to remember.

You’re a sad case really, which is why you keep getting redacted.

According to your webmaster, I was quite successful in “winding up Brits” :)

Difference is that winding up South Americans causes applauses, while winding up Brits causes bans of accounts.

Give me your best shot, DTU has about 10000 computers with almost as many IP's, and my imagination is as endless as the numbers we count in... Guzz2, Guzz3,Guzz4... You lot think they'll ban DTU IP's? ;)

On another note, Mercopress is hosted by Linode, which in turn is owned by Christipher Aker, a guy from USA. These “news” are not from Uruguay and your webmaster can't type in Spanish.

Just got back from attending the Remembrance Ceremony at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

Very moving, and attended by wounded soldiers, their families and members of the medical and nursing staff, both military and civilian. There was standing room only, as more people than they anticipated turned up.

For all the Argentine posters on here, Remembrance Sunday is to remember and commemerate all those who died in conflict.

In the Falklands they remember both the British and Argentine fallen.

In fact the people of the Falklands have done far more to respect and honour the dead of Argentina than ANY Argentine government has ever done. You should be thanking the people of the Falklands for looking after your war dead when your own government spits on their memories.

    From an Australian perspective...

Upon reading this article, I was intrigued by how other regions chose to commemorate Remembrance Day...
...and was greatly disheartened when I noticed the first two comments were obviously disrespectful ones made by certain pro-malvinas/pro-Argentina commentators... and how they continued to post things that warranted removal by the editor.
Seriously, have you 'people' no shame?

@19 Well, well, well, Guzzle. Is this a new record for you? Seven comments out of 18 and ALL removed. WE have been remembering OUR fallen for 94 years. It is right that WE remember those from the best of the best that have fallen. In one of OUR most recent valiant and heroic actions, 10,000 of OUR MEN travelled 8,000 miles to confront 66,000 foreign sub-humans. Naturally, WE WON! The unfortunate thing is that OUR inherent kindness stopped us from taking the obvious action and destroying the source of putrescence. Never mind. Next time. Give us an excuse!
@21 Since when have genocidal, thieving, paedophile queers had a “nation”. At best, you have an “animal” preserve. Let's move quickly to the day when we can watch you become EXTINCT!
@24 You miss a point, Guzzle. Not surprising from a sub-human, paedophile queer, but I'll try to help you. Before your comments got “removed”, someone had to complain and someone else had to agree. Get the idea? Humans considered your comments and agreed that you are a brainless faggot. Now pull your queer neck in!
@28 You really are too thick to understand, aren't you? We have 775 excellent reasons for killing every argie. Then there are 258 reasons for wiping the putrescent slime from the face of the planet. And you complain about being “bashed”?
@33 On the plus side, argieland can also supply meat, fur and skin. I hear the meat tastes like pork!
@38 To the best of my knowledge there is only one “nation” in LatAm. It's called Chile! And you still can't spell!
    @39 The Faggot Pretender!!!
@43 Forget it, Guzzle. We know you are an argie queer, genocidal faggot. We know why you pretend to be Uruguayan. Because the only thing an argie is good for is dying - in agony!
    @47 Because they got paid!
@55 Why haven't you been exterminated? Like all vermin.

Here's a tip, Guzzle. You are so much lower than sh*te. Return to argieland. Wouldn't want you to miss the experience of your (short) “life”. Would you like to meet my kukri?

Now I am back from my motorcycle ride, I do have a life away from this blog, I am happy to respond to your point 49.

I do not see hypocrisy in slamming a bunch of want to rule the world argies, who are holding reasonable Argentines like Simon68 and his family to ransom. There must be many reasonable Argentines who are as sick and fed up of TMBOA as I am. The whore has done more financial damage to Uruguay than enough.

    Those actions directly affect me and my wife as well as all my friends, including the Argentine family next door. Why am I supposed to hold my considered views and look at the facts of my position (there’s a list coming :o) );
    1) CULTURE: Which part of Argentine culture have I bashed? Certainly I castigate those whose rob and murder people of any nationality, including their own citizens, which given the sheer numbers and the police corruption certainly looks like a culture to me;

    2) HISTORY: The history of AG since 1816 when it was formed (not backdated to 1810 because they hadn’t got round to putting things in writing – see the start of a trend here?) was (in respect of the Falklands) to say the least was founded on lies and perpetuated to this day by the ruling party of Peronistas by the indoctrination of their own children in these very same lies.

Peron and his whore Evita (this is a fact, she was a whore), laughingly referred to as ‘The Lady’ did everything to subjugate the masses: and this carries on to this day by the Nestor clan.

I could go on about the ‘Conquest of the Desert’ and the invasion of the mythical Malvinas as the highlights in what passes as military history for AG.

    3) FEELINGS: I am extremely sorry if reasonable Argentines on here such as Simon68 and the others are in any way upset with my responses and I hereby unreservedly apologise if that is so.

But the feedback does not support your contention that this is so, just the opposite.

Now let us come to how Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Great Britain and th

Now let us come to how Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Great Britain and the Brits (inc me) are treated by the Malvanistas – these people who, by all accounts are PAID to blog what they are told to blog. AG would be extrememely fortunate to have someone like Her Majesty to advise a reasonable President as she has done for our Prime Ministers (who DO attempt to run the country) for 60 years or more. But she is called a whore (which she most certainly is not) and ugly (personal opinion) but that was Jose M. So I suppose, because he is of limited intellect we can overlook.

Yes, I refer to the President as The Mad Bitch of Argentina: she is severely Bi-Polar and rants and raves (her own admission) when things do not go how she wants them to, doesn’t turn up for meetings due to ‘low blood pressre’ but has miraculous cures the very next day. How can anybody respect downright crooks who steal from their own people?

And what about your own ravings against Britain: broke, militarising the S. Atlantic (oh dear me) citizens burning shops and rioting (the facts are these were criminals taking advantage of the weakness of our stupid government led by Camoron, who (as a lifelong Conservative I knew was ‘a rung-un’ as we say in the UK) and his ‘bitch’ Clegg. For all it’s faults Britain is a first world country, doing what it can to help other countries financially. It is unsurprising therefore that we have a massive deficit.

But unlike AG, we face our problems and deal with them in a mature way. How is that hypocrisy?

There is a difference between “bashing” another's country, and being racist... just as there is between decency and “laughing” at remembrance services and those who died fighting for YOUR *right* to even be posting on this website.

I suspect that you are either too young to appreciate that, or just too ignorant, perhaps even wilfully so.

Either way I strongly doubt that DTU would support your radical incitement to hatred and contempt for the very people who gave you the ability to (supposedly) study abroad and post freely on the Internet.

SO many youngsters, and the wilfully ignorant, preach about “freedom of speech” as those it gives them the right to say whatever they like. Often it is not until they get deep in trouble that they discover that this is not so, and whatever you say may, and often does, have repercussions.

If 30 years in criminal investigations taught me many thing its that there is always somebody cleverer than you, and that if you are going to claim something which is not true, you have to be prepared for when somebody else uncovers the truth and has it pointed out to the world to see.

Those who do not respect the dead will never respect the living. You don't respect the living or dead.

If you had ever bothered attending a Remembrance day, anywhere in the world, you would know that both the dead and living and prayed for.

In British Remembrance Services we pray for all people throughout the world:

ACT OF COMMITMENT: (Spoken by the Priest)
Let us pledge ourselves anew to the services of God
and our fellow men and women: that we may help, encourage and comfort others,
And support those working for the relief of the needy and for the peace and welfare of the nations.

    Response from the congregation:
    Lord God our Father,
We pledge ourselves to serve you and all humankind,
    in the cause of peace,
for the relief of want and suffering,
and for the praise of your name.
    Guide us by your Spirit;
    give us wisdom; give us courage;
give us hope; and keep us faithful now and always.
    Amen

You are the biggest hypocrite on this site. Respect the dead, for they were once living. Respect their memory, respect their sacrifice, respect their courage.

I must say that I find it a bit demoralizing to read some of the posts (such as Conqueror's) which vilify the whole population of Argentina because of a video that shows a very large crowd cheering the military junta for having taken the Falklands in 1982.

It is true that a large part of our people DID think this was a good thing, but an even larger part realised that the drunken idiot Galtieri had bitten off more than he could chew.

This large majority is about the same demographic grouping that took part in the 13th. September protest, the thinking sector of the Argentine population, those that realised that going to war with Britain was the next best thing to suicide.

It would be very nice to be able to comment on these threads without the generalisations that are constantly used, i.e. “all argies are...” or “all brits are...”

This thread started out with Brit bashing, niether Guzz nor Gustbury were retaliating because a Brit had bashed Argentina, so Guzz and Gustbury you two were instigating the ridiculous “war of words” and as both of you, however much you try to hide behand your Uguayan persona Guzz, are Argentine, I would like to apologise profusely to the Brits on this thread for the insult to your war dead and to our own.

Peace Simon, I understand that not all Argentinians are the same and the “thinking part” of the population is disgusted by the way that KFC / Ol' Turkey neck / TMBOA / The harpy and government has ruined the country.

    114 Think

Was there a prayer for the Austrialians?
Was their a prayer for New Zealanders?
    The Indian's?

Like I said If KFC / Ol' Turkey neck / TMBOA / The harpy and her government wanted to put on her own November 11th then there would be a chance for all Argentinians to remember their war dead wouldn't there?

Anyway, just because there isn't a service of rememberance it doesn't mean that you can't remember the dead.

    118 Deadbeat

........and yet you go on and on with you pathetic whining like a little child. All your posts are about “the hypocrites”, “the hypocrites”, “the hypocrites” and yet you tell me I like the sound of my voice too much....... Pot, kettle, black!!!

As noted before you are a one trick pony, an irritation. all you can do is complain and whine and moan.... when you can do something else other than whine, people might take you seriously ( I doubt it, but they might )

You also have no proof showing that MercoPress is not based in Montevideo.

We have no control over what is censored, it is just another of your conspiracy theories.
You claim to be a person of maturity and principles but your posts show none of this.
You say I am only replying in the same way as all non Argentinians post bad things about Argentina, I am sorry Guzz that is a poor excuse for a so called mature person.

Your maturity is questioned as soon as you start posting childish comments on an article that is about remembering those that died in conflicts, remembering both sides in those conflicts.

At least the Argentinian Rugby players had the good graces yesterday at the match against Wales to acknowledge the wreaths and poppies while both countries national anthems were being sung. (it was a good game and a very well deserved victory by the Argentinian players).

You are pathetic with your comments about the “Brits” killing “innocents” in Afghanistan, but forget that your so called Danish hosts/benefactors fight alongside the terrible “Brits” in Afghanistan.

You Guzz are one of the biggest Hypocrites here!

Anyone attending such a service is free to interpret the words in a way that seems meaningful to them.

Do you have any equivalent of Remembrance Sunday in Argentina? Obviously I wouldn't expect you to mark Armistice Day in any way, but do you have a similar day on which you remember the dead of all wars, including the British of course?

    (i) Britain claimed the Falklands in 1756
(ii) Vernet illegally set up the colony
(iii) In 1833 when Vernet's garrison remained only x1 settler chose to return to the Argentine federation
(iv) Argentina had protested about the British presence on the Falklands right up to and including 1849 but then signed the 'Convention of Settlement' treaty with Britain in 1850 where 'a state of perfect harmony had been restored.'
    (v) In his address to Argentine Congress on 1 May 1869, President Sariento said, 'that the country had no claims on other nations.'
(vi) after 1850 the Argentine state produced tens of thousands of maps that either excluded the Falklands from Argentine territory or showed the islands in a different colour.
(vii) After protesting about the British preseence on the Falklands in 1849 Argentina did not make another official protest until 1941. In international law claims are considered defunct if there is a gap of 50 years or more between protests on sovereignty.
(viii) The Falkland Islanders have the right to self detrermination under the UN charter they do not wish to become associated with Argentina.

Argentine claims regarding sovereignty of the Falklands are completely baseless just like INDEC's inflation figures. If a government is going to tell lies about inflation and growth figures telling lies and spreading propaganda around the World regarding the history of the Falklands comes relitively easy.

Welcome Jimmy... Welcome on board. A pleasure to meet you. I think that you and Simon68 will have a lot to talk about and it will be a pleasure to have a discussion with a clear, thinking Argentinian.

Thank you for your kind words. All wars are regretable. Especially the Falklands Conflict that should never of happened.

The Argentinian conscripts were lied to, badly treated, not told where they were going and not looked after by their senior officers and all died needlessly.

November 11th should be a time to respect and honour all the war dead and promote understanding between peoples so that it should never happen again.

Which part of 'all people' are you finding difficult?

Is that not inclusive enough for you? Are you suggesting that the Church of England shouldn't pray for its head and for the country, or are you suggesting that some formula be found to make you Argentines feel more a part of things? I think if you had a specific mention everyone would want one.

I'm not sure where you're going with this one. On Remembrance Day, people think about the sacrifices that were made so that we can enjoy the freedoms of today, and remember those who have suffered as a result of war. I'm not sure how you imagine the Argentine dead fitting into that here. I mean, who do you see laying the flowers and what form should the prayers take?

    No. I don't think so.

I attended the Remembrance Day ceremony held this morning on the green of the British Cemetery in Montevideo. To my certain knowledge there were two Argentine gentlemen and 20-30 Uruguayans among the number, which also included the ambassadors of the UK, the US, Canada, South Africa and Germany.
The prayer actually read by the Anglican vicar went:
“Let us remember before God, and commend to his sure keeping:

They have to resort to their normal practice of stealing and pillaging all they can get to carry them over a few more years to their ultimate doom, joining the USSR in the ash heap of history.
Censorship is no surprise on this site Guzz, It is normal in the colonial form of democracy. Member, what goes around comes around.

It is not me that is questioning where MercoPress is based, I have no reason to doubt that they are based in Montevideo as they state in their information.

It is the likes of you, Guzz and Think with your conspiracy theories and persecution complexes that are saying that MercoPress are not based in Uruguay.

Think posted a while ago that no one said any prayers to the RG dead in the Falklands during the memorial service...I say, why the hell would we? You were the aggressors and the invaders, if you hadn't come then your people and mine wouldn't have died.

FWI it was proved an argentine vandalised the Darwin cemetary but there was no way of knowing which RG was responsible since they had already buggered off to RG land. I doubt CFK would allow us to round up all the RGs from that flight and transport them back here for questioning.

@102 Don't be demoralized. I've always been polite to you. Let me pose some simple questions.
    (1) The video link I included is evidence for my views. It's not the only video. Where is the evidence for your contention?
    (2) If the “demographic grouping” you mention is so huge, wouldn't it be more meaningful if they were “doing” rather than “thinking”.
    (3) If you go through as many articles on this site as seems to you appropriate, how many contributors (a) support the Falkland Islanders and self-determination; (b) support the false argentine claim to the Falkland Islands and territorial aggression (including nuclear attack)? Amongst group (a), how many are argentine or south american?
    (4) If there are so many argentines, i.e. “an even larger part”, who are content for the Falkland Islanders to have the system of government that they wish on their Islands, where are they? This is, effectively, a “confidential” site. It's not the same as speaking out publicly against “the Party” on the streets of Nazi Germany, is it?

You would have us, or at least me, believe that the majority of argentines are not interested in the Islands. My response to that is simple. Prove it!

Yes, it was next to suicidal for Argentina to go to war against Britain. A repeat performance will be even more suicidal. So why is this supposedly huge “demographic grouping” giving tacit support for the current “war”? Not being waged with guns, aircraft, rockets or missiles, but a war nevertheless. In 1939-1945 ALL Germans were “the enemy”. NOW, ALL argies are the enemy. Until they prove that they aren't.

For all we know, you may be the only argentine that might support the Islanders and their wishes. Even you might be here to try to gauge how committed Brits are to the security and defence of the Islands. How far are we prepared to go? The answer to that is simple. All the way. Whatever it takes. It's argies and argentina that need to, demonstrably, change. We won't!

'I didn't want to post on Remembrance Day because as you probably noticed disrespect and insults were running rampant as I knew it would'.

After reading this thread today, I find I am saddened and shamed by what I have read. Some of the posts that have been left to stand are unwarranted trolling and abusive to the point of being quite obnoxious.

Some here should hang their heads in shame at the behaviour and attitudes that have been put on display. Unfortunately, I doubt those that posted such vile will ever think there was anything wrong with what they posted.

May the souls of the near 1000 people who died on/near the Falklands in 1982 Rest In Peace.

I post a lot of crap on this site only because I believe it is a dead issue and everyone needs to move on. That is my opinion. It seems that on Remembrance Day the situation becomes too real, so many lives were affected on both sides, mine wasn't. I just hope everyone had a chance to think about war and those that weren't lucky enough to live through it and maybe to those who did and now have to live with their consciences and memories.

@151 Let's see now. A little over 30 years ago, a bunch of argie nobodies staged an unprovoked, undeclared invasion against a peaceful British territory. I am awed by the restraint of the Falkland Islanders. I would be inclined to place an explosive charge in every argie war grave. I would have also seized the last 250 argies to visit the Islands and.......... (Guess the rest)!
@158 Depends. What are those Islands 400 miles to the east called? Who do they belong to? Do they have the right to do things as they wish?

The truth of the matter, Conqueror, is that I have absolutely no obligation to answer you, but I will:

    1) I don't remember the site that has the info, but I do remember reading that the manifestation in Plaz de Mayo on 2nd April 1982 was estimated to be on the order of 200.000 people which represented about 0.6% of the population at the time.
    2) I don't consider the grouping that I belong to so huge, on 8N about 1 million people took to streets in Bs. As. out of a population of 8 million. As to “doing” instead of “thinking”, that is exactly what we did last Thursday!
    3) & 4) I have no interest in totting up the number of comments, for or against the self determination of the Islanders, it has no bearing on what I think and comment on this site, as to #4 The great majority of Argentines couldn't give two tuppenny damns about the Falkland Islands, they are too busy trying to keep body and soul together. The only Argentines that care about the Islands are the veterans who fought there in 1982 and the malvinistas who get paid for writing rubbish on these sites.
If you honestly believe that ALL Argentines are rabid malvinistas I really feel sorry for you, its like saying that all Brits hate the French, just not true!!!!!

That sums up why you lost in 1982 and why he is there honouring the dead, killed while evicting a facsist occupation carried out with the express wish of evicting British people from their homes at gunpoint.

You sum up why we are'nt interested in negotiating the islanders' future with you either. Why would we give our people over to the likes of you?

You're invasion was based on an underestimation of my country, fueled a deep seated sense of artificially whipped up aggrievement over events that happened so long along that you have to do a lot of digging into history to find out what happened.

When you do carry out the research you find out that your countries claims are a bit shakey, to say the least.......

“Why England supports “falklands” and prevents Scottish independence”

It's the UK at the moment. England is a part of the UK. The UK is not England.

There will be politicians arguing against Scotland leaving the UK, but the referendum in Scotland has not been outlawed by the UK government as it's going ahead in 2014.
If the Scots vote for Independence it is not, and will not, be prevented as the Scottish (like the Falkland Islanders) are entitled to the right to self-determination, whether sections of UK politics like it or not.
As an Englishman, I have no objections to Scotland attaining independence if they vote for it.
It is a pity that Argentina disrespects the right of the Falkland Islanders to vote when they themselves have democracy, whereas the UK is not preventing the Scottish independence referendum.
