I seriously doubt than many Argentines believe this figure, certainly not many living in Argentina, and having to live through it.

Wonder if they will ever realise their government does the same thing to them about the Malvinas issue.

Tells them a load of Bollox, and accuses anyone who disagrees or questions them of being unpatriotic.

Whether the numbers are precise or fallacious it is a matter for Argentines to revolve. The government, whom we elect, has no obligation to anyone or any entity beyond the borders of the country. Those who repiningly insist this is an international matter are zealots with political agendas in which accurate consumer prices are near the bottom of the barrel.

@3 well if it's a matter for rgenweener to resolve leave the FALKLANDS out of it sort your own shit out and stop trying to drag everybody else into it, then come back and talk to the rest of the world instead of whinging to all assundry

As a matter of curiosity then, do you believe these figures?

And your government does have obligations to foreign entities when it freely signs agreements with them, and especially when it expects others to live up to their obligations.

You know well the reason for the British “Schadenfreude” over this, the Falklands issue, a cause to which I know you personally do not subscribe.

I don't discuss domestic affairs with foreigners.

Argentina expects no one to live up their obligations to us, simply because we have neither asked nor depend on any such pecuniary favors.

And well, your assertion reflects poorly of your country... In the sense many here claim incessantly to be above most other nations in deportment and rational conduct. I guess that is a fictitious trait.

You are obviously refering to the origin of the word “colony”, aren't you?

    @ 2 Pugol-H

Nobody actually living in Argentina believes in less than 24% inflation. They struggle to make ends meet, my friends - poor devils - and know very well that food prices have increased by app 25% since last November.

Recently there have been numerous reports about how La Cretina's corrupt government has been fiddling the inflation figures. The clock is ticking for her pariah state and if Christine Lagarde, the IMF's managing director, keeps to her standards of morality, then this loathsome state will be booted out of IMF and the G20 group. It is so sad for the Argentinian people who have to suffer from this despicable woman. Her days are numbered.

Nostrolldamus. The government are obliged to be truthful about political and economic facts. The government is voted in by the people to govern in a truthful fashion. Manipulating statistics that have an important influence on the cost of living and how people live day to day for political gain is a mockery of democracy and a rescinding of their duty to the people of Argentina.

@12 If you call 'sitting in the panic room of your house in mendoza clad in naught but kevlar due to the ongoing violent crime taking place outside your door', a great summer... then I'm not here to disagree with you.

How's it going with being maximo's BDSM pet? Is the bit in your mouth too tight?

@13 wow, great summer holiday that is; arguing the toss 24 hours a day with faceless posters who you will never convince ! Might make you feel better, but its an exercise in futility.. Nothing you say on this message board will change anything. You are only young once, go and do something constructive like donating your time to a local charity or something.

I don't need to convince any of you. The mere hurling of the truth sends all of you into a paroxysm. All day long, all summer, I'll be here in every topic as your personal bubgear foreigners. You can either choose to leave, stay quiet, be respectful of Argentina when you write, or enjoy my company.

I trust you will all elect the correct choice.

Yes, we will make the correct choice.

We will tell you your posts are as factual and truthful as INDEC figures.

I know you wont discuss INDEC. After all, you can't seriously believe their figures to be true.

Enjoy your holiday, you might not be able to afford one next year ;)

@18 ... Suggest you don't be so effusive with the truth when writing your CV then... “Spent a summer defending CFK's administration on an Internet comments page” wouldn't exactly stir the echelons of power.

Argentina (and more importantly in the context of 95% of its detractors on here, it's current administration), is falling considerably short in the respect earning department. Perhaps you might want to start there, rather than trying to lobby for behavioural change on Mercopress.

Respect, in the definitino of the word chosen by the rest of the nations of the world in Argentina's case, equates to surrender, capitulation, subjugation, and probably at some point deracination.

    So, shockingly, we choose “no”.
