    @1 Brilliant but a pity that a representative from the Argentinian Gov. is not attending as they would possibly learn something about democracy first hand.

    Can anyone tell me, how will the new British flag? Because the current flag, we must delete the Scottish flag. Although to replace it, you could include a sheep in some southern colony .. Jajajaja

    @Zav;
    Regardless of Scottish independance, we will always remain 'friendly' towards England. The Flag will simply revert to what it was before 1706.

    And what have you got against sheep? We Scots love them.......................

    Look forward to hearing the speach from the Gibralter Minister, Samantha Sacramento. It's also good to see the presence of similar small nations such as Cyprus and Malta also present at this conference. Seems like such nations certainly believe the Falkland Islands, along with their inhabitants, the Falkland Islanders!

    As for our Malvinistas, keeping sounding off, you sound more desperate each day as your silly dream of taking over the Falklands slips further away.

    Even some of the more independent Argentine media are starting to acknowledge the presence of the Falkland Islands Government. Clarin, probably Argentina's most serious Spanish speaking newspaper these days, has recorded an informative and positive interview with Falklands Legislative Councillors, Sawle and Cheek in London. The interview and the images posted by Clarin do not show Argentine Foreign Minister in a good light. Clarin did some interviews last year in the Falklands which were also very positive in their coverage of the islanders.

    @10

    What you fail to recognise is that current opinion polls suggest

    1) the majority of Scots are likely to vote to stay in the Union
    2) if the same question were asked in England it would be very close as to whether the English would vote for them to leave

    In other words Scotland is more keen on the Union than England.

    This should explain to you the dynamics of the modern United Kingdom. We have absolutely no interest in keeping people in the Union against their will. If certain people wish to use the power of self-determination to either stay in or leave the Union, they are welcome to that power.

    It is something Argentina doesn't understand.

    I repeat the observation made previously. If 19th century colonialism is so abhorrent. If anyone who has settled somewhere since 1833 is a usurper, prior to any discussions, and form of legal debate, Argentina MUST withdraw from Patagonia, must fully fund the setting up of a Patagonian government led by indigenous Amerinians, and fully rebate the mineral wealth stolen from them.

    Then and only then can Falklands discussions begin, to which our position will still be that they were never Argentinian.

    Let me know when the withdrawal process is complete.

    'Another success of Héctor Timerman
    One of the worst vices of a country's international policy is to be unpredictable. Neither bad nor good; nor of right or left: be not reliable is the insulation safer way. Who's going to be associated with a country that doesn't keep his word, that can change its course without notice, that it is not respected in the craft of diplomacy?
    This is perhaps one of the worst vices of the lamentable management of Hector Timerman, who in their desperation to be praised by the President and by the addicted newspapers, is capable of the worst outrages. Great Chancellors of history have been silent politicians, who only sought applause for their achievements at the end of the road; able to keep a secret; imaginative in seeking alliances; eco-experience of its professional teams. Those politicians turned their countries into relevant, is important in international decisions, and therefore provided a great service.
    Timerman has been exactly the opposite. Desperate to tops of newspapers, fatally wounded the relationship with America with ridiculous episode of aircraft. Ignorant of the importance of strategic alliances between large countries, attacked Europe and G20 and ran out of partners to Malvinas and other relevant issues. Unintelligent, passively joined leftist delusions of Chavez and isolated in Latin America, watching passively as new regional alignments are generated. Unscrupulous, he ignored the Argentine diplomatic tradition of human rights support according to Chávez and keeping silent accomplice in Libya, Syria and now kneeling against Iran.'

    To start with, everybody with intelligence and honour, e.g. Brits and Islanders, should go to www.panorama.gi and sign the online petition.

    @3 Is that because she's intelligent? Or because she's better-looking and better-dressed than you,sussie?
    @8 Doesn't matter where you are, sussie, you're still a thief. The whole of latin america is stolen land. All argies are murdering, mendacious genocides. (Doesn't apply to the sane, intelligent people called Argentines.) Never shake hands with an argie. You may not get your hand back!
    @10 What new British flag? Anyway, it doesn't matter. It will still fly over the Falkland Islands. In a new requirement, any argies visiting the Falkland Islands will be required to traverse the first mile on their knees. Apologising for the invasion, the occupation and the war, and accepting responsibility, all the way. They will also be required to sign a declaration that argieland has NO claim to the Islands.
    @12 Ready to die for your beliefs?
    @13 I believe the menu is mostly argie in flavour. Baked argie. Boiled argie. Chopped argie. Devilled argie. Minced argie (mincing?). Roast argie. Toasted argie. No argie “fillets” as such. Invertebrates!
    @19 Remember that word. “Free”. It's something that can be found on the Falkland Islands. It has meaning. It has a different meaning in argieland. It's applied to something YOU've stolen. Like the territory itself. When are you going to give it back?

    @30 How should we interpret you? Are you the first wart of argieland? Or do you want a war?
    @36 We shot them all and dumped the corpses in the ocean. Just following your example!
    @38 Your problem is that you don't know how to measure. Or convert. Or anything really. It's about 353 miles actually. That's measured from an important pebble to argieland. The pebble is important because it measures the closest argieland will ever come to a democratic land!
    @42 Argieland. 355 miles and 200+ years short of democracy. Anybody want to visit somewhere degenerate and childish? Required equipment is: a combat knife, a large-calibre automatic pistol and a couple of dozen spare magazines, combat armour and helmet, an assault rifle capable of single shot, short burst and sustained automatic fire with many spare magazines, grenades and an armoured personnel carrier with full equipment. And a personal radio with fully-charged spare batteries. You are now ready to visit a provincial argie village. Additional equipment is recommended if planning to visit an argie town or city. Suggestions include an RPG, an anti-tank missile launcher with missiles, a ground to air missile launcher with missiles, replace the APC with a light tank. Helicopter air cover is recommended. And an SAS squad on standby. You should then be safe enough going out to buy a packet of cigarettes. Always remember the FCO advice for people travelling to argieland. If an argie looks at you for more than 3 seconds; shoot! And don't be reluctant to call in an air strike. There isn't anything in argieland more important than you getting a stone in your shoe! Don't be intimidated. Do the right thing. Shoot!
