Yeah, they need to make this a 3 month strike and make her confiscate the grains with the army.
That would be fun to watch.

One of our family friends is a farmer, who is openly critical of Cristina's policies. Large portions of his income are taken, and he has a family to support.

The government's characteristic response toward these grievances is, “No Importa”.

If the farmers don't stand up now they'll be working on communes in the next few years.
The gov't will start to confiscate “unproductive” farms in the near future.

I am shocked that most Rgs can't see this coming it the next logical step.

I am sure that they do see it, the ones that are repulsed by asslips and her croopnies. However I surmise that they are in some kind of a Stockholm Syndrome. It's like when wives stick around a husband that beats them, same situation.

Its possible but I think it is more likely they don't think she'll go that far.

I think she confiscated the trains so she doesn't have to rely on trucks to transport since they aren't under her control.

I think she'll use the terrorism law to confiscate the grains if the strike is prolonged.

It should be fun to watch.

    @6 yankeeboy

Yup, I mean why would she use the anti-terrorism law against terrorists when its easier to remove that last few remaining rights of the Argentine people.

    Viva La Relovution!

Yes, I said last week when she confiscated the trains that was her plan. She had no other reason to take them, they were running efficiently, and she had fallen out with the teamsters.
The farmers have been asking for an audience with CFK for three months. This has been planned from the start.

Somehow, I don't think the people will accept this move. Things are going to get very ugly.

Your CommentTeamsters used violence in the USA. They used snipers to take out trucks during strikes. Maybe they will use one on kirchner.

The peaceful CFK government should deal with these traitors to the Fatherland by annexing some far-away land with harsh siberia-like conditions and exiling them to live there as punishment. This triator population could then be used to strengthen a claim on that land for the greater glory of the Fatherland.

Seig Heil CFK, Seig Heil CFK, Seig Heil CFK...

”farming leaders have been waiting for a meeting with Cristina Fernández “for three months”.
It's more important for CFK to wish dialogue with the UK over a fairytale claim than dialogue with Argentines in an important economic sector.

    No dialogue for Argentinians
