Argentina is a sovereign country and do not need to bow to “requests” from Congress to appear before them.
The USA can ask but have no power to “demand”.
“Demanding” is the sole prerogative of Argentina as has been demonstrated time and time again on the International scene.
Of course, the inference will be taken that they have something embarrassing to hide.

    @Clyde15

Did you miss me boys? I hope not ha ha.

I do agree with you the first part of your post. Argentina is a sovereign country and will not accept any demand from US to share intelligence or any investigation with them. Simple because they have no power to do that here, like they do with some lap dogs in decadent Europe.

If they don’t want to be bombed by Iran better to don’t mess things up with them.

    Who cares...

I am sure that the issue is that this document be sent and received *officially*.
I have no doubt that the USA already have copies of the document already distributed to its core team. It would be a piss poor spy service that couldn't get its hands on it!

“And just who was it that bombed Argentina?”

If you want my opinion that was a local job, and was not a bombing otherwise a “demolition stuff” any military in Argentina could have done the job with some kilograms or trotyl (trinitotolueno) and a old Magicube flash (Kodak flash) available a the time.

You only need 475 °C to detonate trotyl and can be made with a simple cell phone. Not recommended to do that at home because could be dangerous for health like smoking.

@2 Of course argieland has something to hide. It always has. In her increasingly desperate attempts to cling on to power, CFK will get into bed with anyone. And not just figuratively. Argieland has no prerogative for “demanding” as its many attempts demonstrate. How many years has it been “demanding” that the UK “negotiates” over something that is non-negotiable? How many years has it been “demanding” that the UN “enforces” things that are unenforceable? Long past time that argieland recognised its proper place in the world. It's a poorly-run, mediocre, pipsqueak place. It should act accordingly. The best argieland can hope for is that it's allowed to beg.
@3 Sorry, argieland is an “implanted population” and has no “rights”. Although it might, just might, be permitted a fair trial for its genocides and war crimes.

Ci5 it was a fictional TV series from the ’80 called “the Professionals” emulating fictional reality from former MI5 now MI6 (British intelligence service) if you can really say that there are any intelligent at all.

Because if they really did they would be advising Mr. KaMoron about the real risk to upset Argentina a really nuclear power state that can blow up the whole British fleet if they want.

Also they can see what kind of underwear are your soldier using from sky.

I cannot think of an instance of a US prosecutor appearing before Congress in order to report on an ongoing investigation. So I cannot see any justification for an Argentinian prosecutor appearing on that basis either.

The report is about past actions based on policies of a now past president. Could there be moderation from this point forward, or are we to judge the new president based on the footprint left by the old? I say give this man a chance. Watch him closely, but give him a chance. As for the letter, well, my concern is and has been since the department of Homeland Security was formed in the US that it is a guise for an American=style gestapo. They might just as well have referred in the letter to “the fatherland.”

@11 Both MI5 and MI6 exist. Hahahahaha. Dummy burger.
“Argentina a really nuclear power state that can blow up the whole British fleet if they want.” Silly dumbo. Argieland can't even put a reactor in a submarine. And it will probably explode if they do. Good riddance to a few more argie queers.
“Also they can see what kind of underwear are your soldier using from sky.” Actually, can't even see Britain from sky. But you could “feel” Britain from the sky. If you dared live in “your” country. But you don't dare. Because, like most argies, you're a COWARD. A little challenge. PROVE I'm wrong. PROVE you live in the cesspit.
“SIDE” is very big on prostitution and bribery. Is that what you do? Do you do the “I'm a burger, give me your meat” bit? Are you in “division” 369? “SIDE” is a bit short on “intelligence”. Of any sort.
“I would be really scared if I would be you mate.” Why would anybody be scared of a slag with a big mouth? And, yes, we know why you have a big mouth. Plus other big “entrances”. Can't keep the “customers” waiting. Right? Are you servicing La Campora? All of it? Aren't all those little thin dicks that don't touch the sides a disappointment? Or are you off in Europe? Where there are BIG dicks. But you only get paid for your receptivity. Are you all-round receptive? Since you're a latino, I'll give you a £1 if you can do the full range. For a week!

@12: From a domestic perspective wrt separation of powers, yes it's bad form to do that even when it's their own special prosecutor on an open case. But they're brining him in as a specialist on Iranian terrorism and from that context we know that Iran is behind the bombings that he investigated. And to mix metaphors they can invite a ham sandwich (heck one of the idiots even brought in a muppet) to testify on any topic relevant to a given committee. And if this fellow ain't a specialist on Iranian terrorist activity in the Americas, then who is?

In my opinion it was a local job.

That why you sacked the judge investigating it, concluded a treaty with Iran and are so desperately, desperately trying to stop your lot from talking to the yanks? Because it was an home grown attack? Bollocks!

No self respecting terrorist uses TNT, Semtex, C4 or any other type of high grade explosive anymore! For the simple reason it can be traced! That brings a whole world of shit down on the supplier, legalising swift and lethal retaliation! They make the stuff from fertiliser and other components! Purchased locally and non traceable to any government, thats how they operate, or they would do, if they had any fucking sense!

But we learn from our defeats and get better.

In WW2 my great Uncle affirmed that when he was fighting in the North African desert the Italians ran and surrendered in huge numbers.

Not like the Romans at all eh? So the Italians were good and then got worse over 1900 years.

The UK started off by being invaded and got wise to it. But got better.

In fact the Argentine soldiers who 'were NEVER going to leave the Malvinas' according to news reports from their soldiers before the Brits turned up did like the Italians in WW2-ran and surrendered.

Funny that Peron got his fancy ideas firstly from Mussolini, (another Italian know all know nothing-great against unarmed Abbysinians, not quite so hot against the Brits-like Argies innit? The same tactics that lost Mussolini his head and caused Hitler to commit suicide-and replicated by Argentina in 1982, arses firmly kicked hard.

The biggest laugh is that Argentina wants the USA to back them over the Falklands while doing everything they can think of to annoy the USA.

When Argy loving Obama goes-the USA will really be annoyed by Argentina's lack of diplomacy.

I believe the principle is more general than you indicate. So, for instance, I would be concerned about a US prosecutor appearing before the Argentinian Congress to testify about a current prosecution. And a Chilean prosecutor appearing before the Brazilian Congress and so on. These bodies can ask for a prosecutor to testify but the duty of the prosecutor is to refuse.

First of all I thought Argentina was so useless that it provided no information of relevance for anyone. As such I fail to see what new information about Iran could an argie prosecutor provide that your dogged NSA does not already have factored in.

So there are only two possible other reasons, eliminating the “US congress just wants to find out Iran's role in intl' terrorism”:

    1) They think the US congress has purview within Argentine law or territory
    2) It is just simply a propaganda circus to further American propaganda against Iran, since we know the US congress and government have absolutely no impartiality in this scenario.

Either possibility is tin-pot politics at best, and the legal system of any country would be sane enough to bar anyone within its jurisdiction from falling into such puerile brinkmanship.

If the indictment actually exists as has been filed then it must be available publicly already unless it is sealed. If it is sealed then it can only be unsealed by a court - not by any congress including the US Congress.

But there is another issue. A prosecutor must not be, and must not appear to be, an intelligence agent - for reasons that I would think are self evident. An indictment is prepared for the express purpose of bringing a prosecution to a court. It should not be used by any other branch of government for any other reason. To do so risks undermining justice.

Hep They are two different governments. Nowhere does it say they are sealed. ALl the sub committee is asking for an opinion, that's why people are requested before congress. Apparently the prosecutor was prepared to speak to the US congress by the Attorney General was concerned and needed to protect their terrorist ally. Ashame the jews do not matter to Argentina, but then again, this is a country that harbored and gave refuge to the nazi's.

If the indictment is not sealed and has been filed then it is available to all - including the US Congress. So there is no need for anybody to “send an official pdf”.

The prosecutor was being invited to testify before an intelligence committee of Congress about information that he has (apparently) included in the indictment. Whether the testimony was to be limited to his opinions or not is hard to day. But, I repeat, the essential job of a prosecutor is to present his evidence to a court and not to any other body. And that is what is to happen. So, in due course, the Congress will learn what it needs to know from the court transcripts.

One of the problems with this story is this is the only article that I know of on the subject. And the substandard British government journalism shown in this article does not present sufficient information to support the conclusions that you have reached (makes you appreciate the merits of a free press, doesn't it). For instance there is no suggestion that the prosecutor concerned ever entertained the idea of appearing. And, of course, no prosecutor is ever authorized to present a case to a congress. I suspect that the Prosecutor General was simply reiterating this fact.

Finally, as a tax payer, I am concerned that Congress is wasting my money pursuing this matter. They should know better.

    Pale in comparison...
Seventy-two percent of Argentines and 71 percent of Mexicans think their country’s corruption has grown in the past year. A close third is Venezuela, with 67 percent of population saying corruption runs rampant. It is precisely Venezuela the NGO gives as an example of classic corruption. A 50-year-old woman, Carmela, described the day when a group of policemen burst into her home and arrested her 27-year-old son and would not let him go free until she paid a ransom.

The report pointed out what institutions were the most affected, and results varied in different countries. The police was named the most corrupt entity in Bolivia, Venezuela, Mexico and El Salvador. Politicians and political parties shared the top spot in Mexico and Argentina and came just behind legislators as the top corrupt authority in Brazil.

Hep C as you like pretending to be an American and now that you've quoted Franklin, tell me.....what do you think his opinion of suicide bombers and using jets as artillary, what was his quotes on that?
I know how you like to minimize the total destruction of the Twin Towers, the bombing of the Pentagon and all the lives lost are meaningless and “little” to you.
And BTW, if you are going to quote (as you have several times) one of my countries founding fathers, use the exact fucking quote because the meaning is actually different and I also sugest you research “WHOM” he was talking to and “WHAT” he he meant. I suppose it was be “LOST IN TRANSLATION”

“Those who would give up Essential Liberty, to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety”

You may believe it means generally the same thing as you are trying to force feed it, but it means nothing to you implication of what it means when he responded to the governor. Figure out the difference in your usage and the actually quote. When english is a second language, you will again think it is the same.

There are wildly differing views on what should be understood by ‘essential liberty’…… in other words, a universal concept of liberty does not exist.
Citizens of a democratic state, must decide for themselves what essential liberty should be, They must find a balance between a security which does not compromise your fundamental rights and a freedom which does not lay them bare to attack.

In the face of increasing threats to national and international security, they must remain committed to their convictions, not allowing them to become distorted by fear or the threat of danger in such a way as to permit them to sacrifice one thing for the sake of the other……..
for only through true freedom can true security exist.

The fourth amendment…….“to be secure in their persons, houses, papers and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures”.

Two major points.....if one is to quote an American, the context is what that American is talking about in respect to whom he was responding to. His quote is often the most misused quotes. Essential liberty was very specific in his entirety.
Also he offset it to a short term gain of of little is any security. You should read the Franklin papers.
Lastly your reference to the Bill of Rights also speaks of “unreasonable”, but surely everything is considered unreasonable in your mind when it comes to seeking muslim terrorist....your allies.

Security, liberty and rights......stick to what you know in SA......trolling. You live in a country that is totally incapable of defending itself, but you need not worry as you are so undeveloped and primitive, no one wants you other than China for your resources. Fortunately with inflation (according to Indec) is only 10%, kirchner is buying protection of the military with a 24% increase. Not that's security!

They are often heard to say things like, “The government can monitor me because I have nothing to hide.”

Then there are those who believe that security is liberty. These are the Neocons who got us into Iraq (where we achieved neither security or liberty). Those who propose hauling prosecutors before Congress are in this group. Their aim is to create a national security state.

Population of Mexicans in USA - including illegals - as at 2013 is an estimated 11. 4 million.
Total USA population is approx. 313 million.
Hardly an overwhelming takeover as you are suggesting !

“ will have a president called Juanito Jose Rodriguez Calderón born in Tijuana?”
Just to be sure, I checked to see if Tijuana was still in Mexico - it was !
From all that I have read, no foreign born US citizen can run for president unless an amendment is made to the US Constitution.
Arnold Scwarzenegger was mooted for a presidential candidate before the legal aspects of this were brought out.
So, unless you know something , and can site the details - you are wrong again - as usual.

You seem to have a problem with Muslims in the UK. Why, I don't know. Probably deep racism on your part.
If we have an MP with the name Mohammed, so what. To be elected, he would have needed non-muslim votes.
I checked in the PEW forum on the number of Muslims in several countries.
    UK.............2,869,000 or 4.6%
    Germany...4,119,000 or 5.0%
    Argentina....1,000,000 or 2.5%
So, they eat more kebabs in and wear more pyjamas in Germany than in the UK. With a name like Berger and dual nationality does this not alarm you ? How soon for a German named Mohammed to be voted in here?
With a Muslim population in Argentina, you must have a good lot of kebab eaters and pyjama wearers also.
It surely cannot be long before your peaceful and democratic republic votes in a Mohammed or as you have a matriarchal bent, Jasmine, with a nice black hajib..

His first problem was in thinking to begin with. He hates Mexicans to the point of trying to use them as an insult to Americans. He fails to understand while there may be many Americans that feel threatened by them, most could care less, most know that they are better than Argentines that they look for a better life and they work their asses off. dumburger is an angry perons either because:
a- he wakaes everyday to the reality of being an argentine
b-he wakes having escaped but still an argentine and no empanadas
c-he wakes everyday being an argentine telling everyone he escapes but still lives in squalor.
Either way he is a sad and pathetic soul.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRqYAXJBlE8

So sure you have a problem to accept what is your reality and by denying that will not help.

You have a very large population of people from Middle East that for some reason could not integrated into former British western value. Try them as if they are all terrorist would not help.

From my point of view your hypocrisy and denial of your leaders of your new reality is causing ethnic tensions. Britain is not a western country like Argentina any more this is quiet easy for foreigner to see the problem is that you don’t understand that.

Your leaders want to promote British values WTF are that? If most of your population come from somewhere in Middle East, Asia, Africa, etc.

Will be easy to promote British Values in Africa than in UK on these days and you know that I’m not joking.

For example you cannot be bombing muslim in middle east having so large population of them in Britain and pointing at them as potential terrorists.

    Do you get the idea?

The same of course applies for mixed Amexica of course where speaking Spanish communities are a key fact to elect they president.

So as I said again in the near future the new president of Amexica will be someone from Mexican or Cuban background no so difficult to figure out.

This is just as typical as your slanted view.
By the way, London is not England or the UK. It is an international city.
If the whole population of Mexico moved to the USA overnight, this would still not be more than about 35% of the USA's population. So, they would be in control ?
I will leave this to an American to answer.

Since when has Argentina been a western country ?
You are Latin American. Nostrils despises the ”west” .
Your own little clique of countries also do not regard themselves as western. They are proud to be South American.
Here is another point to ponder. Muslims are followers of Mohammed's teachings . They are not an ethnic group.

They tap right into the overheard power lines. Wires are everywhere. The highway there is an elevated overpass and those building butt right to the edge of the overhead road. Scary shit seeing.

It is not “COMPLETE BALLOCKS” would you believed me if I have said time ago that the next president of Amexica would be black?

Of course not. and? They got Obama.
It is not hard to predict things like this...
Anyway doesn’t matter the Amexican know what is the truth.

I don’t need youtube to know how UK looks like I just use it to illustrate my posts as MP uses pics. You know?

I use to live in England and I live in Argentina now so you cannot cheat me with homemade fake statistics.

Sure you have been searching hardly like crazy to find any single street in Argentina with at least 2 turbans, 1 kebab and 3 pyjamas even in a shop to back your statistic. But you miserably fail because that could be really hard to find. So you have resorted to the typical villa 31 stuff that anyone denies that exist but that is just a spot of only 50 may be 70k people from other countries and still no kebabs there. You can find chipa there but no kebabs.

And if you pay attention I always talk about kebabs, Pyjamas and turbans and not religion because only you associate this with religion. I guess you don’t need to practice any religion to eat kebabs and you? Or any person eating chips or fish automatically has to be English or Christian? Or any person eating beef is Argentine?

“Since when has Argentina been a western country ?”

Argentina always was a western country if you understand what that means.

What is for you a western country or western civilisation?

Because you seems to be a little bit lost in this...

Did you leave Germany because of the number of Turks living there as you seem to have a particular dislike of anything middle eastern or Asian.

“Western country, what a laugh ! You are South American...”

South America is a geographic region with is part of the America continent which is divided in sub continents North America (Canada, US, Mexico, for example), Central America (Panama, Guatemala, etc) and South America (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, etc).

From the geographic point of view all are western countries more than any European country in this sense because simple America is the west in this world.

Then you have the culture factor because a country could be in the West (Geographically speaking) but can embrace not western values, culture, etc. commonly known as western civilisation.

For example a country geographically in the west embracing Middle East, Asian, etc. culture you know... like Britain on these days.

And what is the western civilisation?
All civilisations that have been influenced by Rome, and which had exported to the rest of Europe these values.

Govt. organisation, tax, toilettes, drains, alphabet, church, religion, parliament, democracy, army, etc, etc.

Now if you have a nation with 97% of it population originally from Europe like Argentina what do you think? it is or not a western country?

You seem to don’t understand the real problem facing Britain due to your brain washed.
Britain has a huge part of its population from Middle East, Africa, etc. and your govt. lies with its fakes statistics and is more concern about few Romanians than the cultural clash having at home.

May be this will help me to show you how bad things are going to be in Britanistan.

TTT in all his guises is vehement that Argentina has nothing to do with the west and has its own culture - not western.
Now one of you two is telling porkies -you both can't be right.

You have to ask that to the yanks here if they consider that China and Japan are in the west and so they are in the East.

Here in Argentina still is the Far East and UKistan is in the North East geographically speaking and culturally just like another Ramadan day.

As you said many things have been borrowed by the Romans from the Greeks, but who exported western civilisation to the west where the Romans with the Empire.

That is the reason why you were considered in the past a western country because the little Italians civilised you. Remember that you were a province of the Roman Empire for around 500 years until you desire to move to the Middle East culturally speaking.

Sorry, Alba was not a province of the Roman Empire - study your history before you make unfounded statements.
The Romans built a bloody big wall between the Solway and the Tyne to mark the outer limits of their Empire. But again, along with racist remarks, that is your stock - in- trade.
The little Italians did come and settle here at the end of the 19th century. They brought us ice-cream and fish and chips and assimilated very well into the community. Thankfully, we did not get the Mafia, Argentina welcomed them.
I was not aware of any great leaning towards the Middle East.
I have not seen many Arabs around. Yes, the UK has a fair population of Pakistanis - a relic of Empire, also Indians and Sikhs. The majority of whom contribute to the economy of the country. But to say they rule the country is hyperbole cubed.

To sum up, no matter what you say, you are not a western country - you have pretensions - but are still South American
and are different in attitude to western nations.
The USA and Canada are western. Find your own definition of your society.

You little misleader.......why do you mention Alba? because you live in Alba?...Are you referring to present day Alba?.......if you are then you are failing to mention the Antonine Wall built by the Romans from the Clyde to the Forth.
If you are referring to old Alba then that would be the kingdom of the Picts and you are more Dalriadic!......Cowal.
Either way the Picts were in Strathclyde and Galloway therefore the Romans did indeed rule parts of Alba!.......just saying.
Big sign on the 74 just before Gretna.......“Fàilte gu Alba” and its probably about 90 miles south of the Antonine wall.......Haha it used to say a hundred thousand welcomes till all the Eastern Europeans start coming over......can't think of any other reason it changed.

The question is, was the whole of the British Isles a province of the Roman Empire. The answer is NO !
Any more details would have confused DB.
If we want to nit-pick, I should have used the term Caledonia. Yes. I do know about the Antonine wall as I used to go up Boclair avenue in Bearsden quite regularly.
The “wall” marked the limit of Roman expansion for a generation but was abandoned in AD160 when they moved back to Hadrian's wall .
Yes I also know that the Romans established camps near Perth and reached the Moray Firth but they were military incursions, not permanent settlements.
    To quote Dany:-
“Remember that you were a province of the Roman Empire for around 500 years”
Do you still stand by this factually incorrect statement - if so, please supply chapter and verse or have the guts to withdraw it.

I could give you info. on how to do this.
How lucky we are to have a resident genius on this forum.
You don't need to look at the facts. Do you just absorb them by osmosis.? I am not so lucky, I need to see them either from a reliable source or from someone who knows.
Lets backtrack to what DB said.
“Remember that you were a province of the Roman Empire for around 500 years”
He did not say part of what is now the UK, he meant ALL of the UK. Do you agree this is what he meant ?
You said..... “At least half of Scotland was under Roman control for at least a generation”
You made a pedantic point about Alba, I can be equally pedantic about Scotland.. Was there a country called this in Roman times ? You also say at least half of Scotland. If the Antonine wall was the limit of the Roman Empire then there is a much larger chunk of what is now Scotland to the North that was outside Roman control.
DB quoted a time scale of 500 years - somewhat longer than a generation...do you agree that this is correct ? 80 years would be a generous interpretation for the occupation between the Antonine and Hadrian's wall.
I am not back tracking, you are trying your best to back up your Argie mate with half truths.
By the way, why all this HA HA business. That is a definite Argie trait and rather childish.

I never said the Romans never touched Scottish grass.

    @Clyde15

    You are confuse...
More than 70% of the English vocabulary comes from Latin Language direct or indirect and the rest quiet debatable.

    Lallans, ha ha ha

Lets see some words of you dialect based Germanic rooted from the “low lands” AKA “Lallans”.

Journal= Latin diurnalis, borrowed by the French from latin, “Diario” in Spanish (can you see the connection oops another Latin word)
Associe= Latin societs, societa borrowed by the French Société
Lange/st= Latin Lungo, largo in Spanish, long or longest in English OE lang.
Page/s= Latin pagina, página in spanish, page in English, pagine French.
Politic/s= Latin Politicus, Pólitico in Spanish
Information= Latin Informem, Informare, in Spanish Información, Italian Informazioni

Well I can be the whole day posting words from your “Lallans proto German language” not containing one word from German. Because mostly comes from Latin.

And the Scottish are cousins of the Northern Spanish better known as “Gallegos” here, Celtic origin that spoke Gaelic like the Irish what also are Scottish relatives.

So my dog is more German than your language and is a “Chiguagua” from Mexico.

Western world, ah! good explanation but wrong.
The western world is another thing is not a political party as you described you are or you are not that simple.

And Agie Pope would give you a good map of that.

May be you will archive a to have a Great Ayatollah from Britain if your try harder because none is considering you part of the western world anymore.

Latin roots?. The grammar and basic vocabulary comes from an old Germanic source, English is a Germanic language, having a grammar and core vocabulary inherited from Proto-Germanic as does Old Scots or Lallans.. Father, mother, brother, sister, eat, drink, sleep, have, etc etc. OK get the Latin based words from this below.
    A Guid New-year I wish thee, Maggie!
Hae, there's a ripp to thy auld baggie:
Tho' thou's howe-backit now, an' knaggie,
    I've seen the day
Thou could hae gaen like ony staggie,
    Out-owre the lay.

Tho' now thou's dowie, stiff, an' crazy,
An' thy auld hide as white's a daisie,
I've seen thee dappl't, sleek an' glaizie,
    A bonie gray:
He should been tight that daur't to raize thee,
    Ance in a day.

Thou ance was i' the foremost rank,
    A filly buirdly, steeve, an' swank;
An' set weel down a shapely shank,
    As e'er tread yird;
An' could hae flown out-owre a stank,
    Like ony bird.

    It's now some nine-an'-twenty year,
    Sin' thou was my guid-father's mear;
He gied me thee, o' tocher clear,
    An' fifty mark;
Tho' it was sma', 'twas weel-won gear,
    An' thou was stark.

When first I gaed to woo my Jenny,
Ye then was trotting wi' your minnie:
Tho' ye was trickie, slee, an' funnie,
    Ye ne'er was donsie;
But hamely, tawie, quiet, an' cannie,
    An' unco sonsie.

    From the poet Burns....in Lallans.
Of course we have some Galician blood as well as Norse , French, German, Danish, Belgium etc. So ? A little known fact, Britain was joined to Europe before the sea level rose....we must gave come from somewhere although recent research suggests an eastern movement as well as southern.

Greenwich is at o degrees longitude everything Westwards is West for 180 degrees and the same East till you get to about the Chatham Islands then it's West again.
Never really thought about it but I suppose New Zealand must be a whole days time difference from it's Islands.
So SA is in the West........but not classed as a Western culture but the link to the WEOG muddies the definition even more as I would have thought the USA was the epitome of Western culture, but is not part of the the WEOG, apart from being an observer........so for me not really a great definition.
