Argentina has begun distributing free a state-produced version of Viagra

Argentina has begun distributing a free state-produced version of the erection-boosting drug Viagra for the first time, in a move intended to curb its misuse, health authorities announced Thursday.

Santa Fe province will benefit from the distribution of 200,000 doses of sildenafil, through the public health network

They said 200,000 doses of sildenafil, better known under the Viagra brand name, is to be distributed free of charge through the public health network of the province of Santa Fe.

The drug is being produced in Santa Fe by the state-owned pharmaceutical firm LIFSE, which plans to eventually distribute it nationally.

Sildenafil is a hugely popular vasodilator that is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men.

“The most famous medication in the world for improving the quality of life -- even though no-one is going to lose their life over it -- is the first to be made by the state in Argentina,” said Guillermo Cleti, a LIFSE director.

“It's not only to attend to erectile dysfunction in men who need it, but also to avoid the abuse or bad use of the drug and to warn the population about its correct use,” he said.

Hey lads, don't be so HARD ON them. I think they should ERECT a statue to the genius who came UP with this. May his memory LAST for ever.

Do they come with a free packet of cigarettes for afterwards, perhaps this was a clever ploy by their tobacco industry.

Why? So the rapists and pedophiles in La Campora have extra incentive to vote next month?
8 Conqueror (#) Aug 09th, 2013 - 07:22 am Report abuse
It must be terrible when you're only allowed to shaft arses. But that's what La Campora and Quebracho demand. And the viagra substitute to “force” them to get it up. Let's all be aware that an erect argie dick couldn't force itself through a wet tissue paper bag.

Viagra was invented in the UK. I trust there will be little Union Jacks on the boxes so that the Argentinian people can make an informed choice between using the British drug or not using it.

Apparently they ran out of the “other” white meat. If anyone recalls KFC telling everyone pork is good for sex?

@ 12
You make it sound only like an unpleasant chore. I would have thought of it more as a punishment?

@ 13
The suicide pill for the botox queen presumably so she could not related how difficult the punishment was to administer.

We all used to breathe in very deeply when driving past the Pfizer pharm. factory in Kent. Not sure it did much good, but the security men on the gate always seemed to be smiling and standing to attention.

Funny, in the French press, it's clearly stated this is distributed freely and medical prescription is needed...

What we have always known:
“Judging by Viagra's success in men, Pfizer, the makers of Viagra, began clinical trials in women. After 8 years of research in over 3000 women, Pfizer finally gave up hopes of selling Viagra to women. There seemed to be a ‘disconnect’ between arousal and desire in women. In men, arousal almost always led to a desire for sex, but arousal did not always lead to sexual desire in women”

That explains it then! :o)

Hi. I live in Santa Fe and work in one of its public hospitals. Here public health, as well as basic education and higher education is free.
And I think the note should say that ALL drugs and treatments are free. Since insulin until vaccine lung cancer. From the dental plan or accident surgery, to a sex change surgery. and if .. between free stuff, there's also the Sildenafil.
For me it is an honor the public health system in Santa Fe
Thank you.

Hola!.
Gracias.

Limp dik much?

Glad some are different, otherwise
Sounds like a patriarchal society a few steps better than Iran.

They think, perhaps, that they are progressive because of a female exec. But really, for U.S. states [which I consider analogous to members of UNASUR] there have been female -- governors -- elected by virtue of their marriage to the previous governor since...the 1920's.
