Venezuela's annual inflation rate hit 45.4% in August, the central bank revealed this week, the highest in five years and the highest in the region, even as consumer price increases slowed from the previous month. Read full article

    Poignant question ! The Military are very active in the “informal” economy which now includes the distribution of many foodstuffs, cement, rebar, and gasoline distribution (very lucrative on the borders with Colombia and Guyana)..leaving the regulation of what remains of the “formal” economy to Maduro and Co.
