Will Cristina have her head shaved? :-)

Perhaps some of the Falklands I.O.D.E. Ladies could knit CFK a woolen Union Jack cap to keep her dome warm until her hair grows back??

    Nice 'gesture', don't you think??

    How 'bout it, Isolde???

    19) It is way too obvious when we were talking about Mr Putins style and international politics, why are referred to him as “Mr” Putin and I also further added I would not say ever “president” Cristina, and automatically “Think” followed in and you disappeared . As obviously that touched a nerve when I trashed CFK and you can’t use “A_Voice” on Argentine issues you shift to “Think”, do you remember??

My grandmother used to say that “in the mouth of a liar right is doubtful”.

So, I do not believe in absolute what has been officially declared about CFK. This would not be the first time that non-existent disease is stated with political objectives.

I think it's an invention, or exaggeration, for political advantages as not to be seen as the “captain of defeat” in the next elections, to disappear from the political scene for a few months, depending on the outcome decice about her politival future. Iy is also a way of not to take over the economic disaster she caused and let it be inherited by another government.

If the physical problem that is real his return to active political life will demand many months of inactivity and rest. Another way to avoid responsabilities.

Sorry Christina but your, 'they have no rights, they are just squatters,' remarks about Falkland Islanders no longer cuts any ice. The International Courts of Justice offered Advisory Opinion as far back as 21st June 1971 and said,

    (para 52)

'Furthermore, the subsequent development of International Law in regard to non-self-governing territories, as enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, made the principle of self-determination applicable to all of them.'

I don't think the British deny much about their history at all, some good, some bad. On balance, the good (industrial revolution, developments in medicine and science, technology etc, fighting fascism) outweighs the bad (pointless wars, parts of the empire, some of the stuff you like to throw).

However, Argentina has only bad. Genocidal colonialism as Spanish, more genocidal colonialism as Argentina, cowardice, harbouring Nazis, Peronist corruption, dirty wars, nuns from planes, Falklands invasion and illegal minefields, massive default, Kirchnerist corruption and lies...against all the good stuff Argentina or Argentines have done....errr...erm....err......nope....not a sausage...nothing, not a thing....

If its Maximo, no chance- but that's good because if Argentina won't talk to the islanders, they can't persuade them 'to join'- if Argentina were sensible they would make money from the Islands by trade.

There are more ways to benefit from Falklands oil than by directly drilling it, which Argentina can't work out.

You misunderstand the difference between the Argentine Government and Argentina.

What is best for the Argentina government and best for Argentina are two completely different things.

Best for Argentina is undoubtably to forget this Malvinas nonsense, start to trade and benefit from the islands, possibly even a gas pipeline, sort themselves out and maximise their enormous potential.

Best for the Argentine government is to continue the monumental corruption, continue thieving from decent Argentines, and remain populist by pretending to look strong on the international scene by spouting rhetoric and propaganda to hand-pick friendly international audiences....

Ho hum...and Marcus, Raul, Axel and Think are stupid enough to keep buying it...lol

Good correction Monkey magic-I should have said “which the Argentine government can't work out.”

I am sure there are in fact, many Argentines with common sense who have worked the following out, (well to be honest a 10 year old kid could).

If .......... (hypothetically, as CFK has done her best to ensure Argentina can't touch anything), the money from Falklands oil (when it arrives )............. is spent in Argentina on goods, services or wages of Argentines working in the Islands etc), effectively the Argentines would be making money out of the oil without having to actually have the hassle of the expensive exploration investment and work drilling for it.
The Argentine government itself ,instead does what you say and grants itself an economic death wish.

So the oil money will instead, probably fund services, fund workers and buy products from the UK, Chile and possibly other South American countries, who while still backing Argentina's claim will be profiting from the Islands regardless.

Also, I bet the Islands will not only end up with one deep water port, but two, which will compete with Southern Argentina for shipping trade.

This competition or the potential for it, could have been totally eliminated if the Argentines had offered the islands port and refining facilities, thus the islands might not have needed a deep water port. Or outside exploration and facilities. Or British and Norwegian oil workers, etc etc etc etc. Now, the islanders don't need Argentina. At all.

Now, the Argentine government's King (or Queen) Canute watch transfixed as the rising tide comes in to drown them.

The Malvanistas couldn't work this out in a 1000 years.
