UK Met Office will offer daily forecasts about the weather in space: solar storms the target

The United Kingdom Met Office is to begin offering daily forecasts about the weather in space. The 24 hour service will aim to help businesses and government departments by providing early warnings of solar storms that can disrupt satellites, radio communications and power grids.     Not understanding the science has never stopped these idiots from giving 50 year forecasts before in support of global warming, OH NO, it's climate change now or whatever the latest bollocks claims is going to happen next.

    And what can be done to mitigate the storms apart from turning everything off?

    Not a lot I suspect.

    And the weather forecast in outer space today is:

    “emptiness with a strong chance of a vacuum but with the remote danger of being struck by space junk traveling faster than a bullet. It is predicted that this weather forecast will remain accurate for the next thousand years”

    Meanwhile does anybody know how long £4.6m would last down the pub?
