Oh dear. You have got it bad. If it doesn't matter to you , why comment.
It warms my heart to think of the annoyance it must give you.
Argentinian trolls and fellow travellers opinions are of NO consequence.
The world revolves no matter how much they whine.

Nothing worth saying as usual, so revert to insults.
Honourable is a word unknown in the Spanish lexicon.

*5 Do not be so preposterous with your comments. To disclose that Spain has no honor is simply ludicrous. Simply go back to 1797 when Rear Admiral Nelson tried to capture Tenerife in the Canary Islands. In his attempt he was captured (and lost his arm) and later, was allowed to return to England with their arms and war honours. Not forgetting that all wounded regulars and sailors had been well treated by the Spaniards. Let´s be a little more impartial in our comments.

See #4. So it's OK for PC to insult Mr. Poggio but if I reply in kind it's not.
I am just making a riposte to the usual insulting posts made by this character at #4. If he insists in going into the gutter then I will meet him there !

1797 was a very long time ago. Are the Spaniards acting in an honourable way with Gibraltar? Not in my definition of the word.

disclose that Spain has no honor is simply ludicrous
    perhaps in the past,
    we are talking about today,

and it is not honourable the way they treat Gibraltar, or its people,

unless of course you know different.

#6 - Spain??? Respect???? You really must be one sick, warped guy.

Respect is earned. Spain has none. It is the biggest single parasite in Europe, leeching billions off the working nations and pouring it into the pockets of politicians and their cronies.

Its principal export is corruption, to which end it has polluted the upper echelons of the EU with its cronies who then do things like appoint a Spanish right-wing neo-fascist judge to hear an appeal in a case involving Spain and the UK.

They sail their silly little Guardia Civil boats around in British waters (but not when there is a warship here). But they don't have the honour, or the courage, to take the case to court because they know they would lose: so, instead, they resort to piracy.

Why the rest of the EU puts up with this festering corpse of a nation is beyond me.

#10: Then check out the history of the “Estrecho Oriental” conservation site 'created' by Spain.

    - They added it to the list on the last possible day
    - They failed to document that it covered territory already within an EU conservation site (the UK's 'Southern Waters of Gibraltar'
    - They failed to notify other members - i.e. the UK - that they were claiming another country's territorial waters

When the UK appealed against the designation:
    - The EU appointed a Spanish Registrar for the case
    - It appointed a Spanish judge, Rosalia de Lapuerta, to rule on it. Not only was a Spanish judge then ruling on a case involving Spain; but she is the daughter of a Franco-era minister who worked for the Spanish Foreign Office on 'Gibraltar matters' - hardly unbiased
    - Oddly enough, she rejected the appeal on technical grounds: as expected when Spain is both judge and defendant

As to corruption within the EU: look no further than the Competition Commissioner, Almunia
    - Launching a fourth investigation (in a year) into Gibraltar's tax scheme (the previous three were rejected)
    - Meanwhile being ordered by the EU to explain why several 'anti-competition' complaints against Spain - which must, by law, be dealt with inside a year - have not been addressed up to 4 or 5 years after they were raised.

    Is that clearer?

*11 No it is not clearer. You are still using too much twaddle.
You make it sound like Spain appointed the EU ministers by itself.
There is an electoral system in the EU Parliament to appoint ministers or
    didn´t you know that.?

#12: The EU Commissioners are across a range of countries. What is clear is that those areas where the decision-makers are Spanish clearly demonstrate inherent corruption.

In the case of the (Spanish dominated) Competition Commission, we see:
    - Gibraltar to be investigated for the fourth time in a year, this time on the most specious argument possible, even though the three previous 'examinations' have been rejected
    - Long-standing complaints against Spain are ignored. Most obviously the 'state aid to Real Madrid' one, which has been sidelined for 5 years now; and the 'state aid to shipbuilders' one which is in its fourth year and where the provisional finding is 'guilty' with an estimated €3bn fine. In fact, Spain has 16 tax code violations in all.

It is clear that Spain is misusing the EU to pursue a vendetta while using its power to block any investigations into itself.
