A major gas deal between Russia and China was finally sealed this week when Russian President Vladimir Putin was on a two day visit to China on May 20-21 and met with President Xi Jinping. In the lead up to Putin's arrival, the two sides have been working on putting the finishing touches on a 30-year contract for a gas deal a decade in the making, and Russian officials have suggested that the deal will be completed by Putin's arrival. Excellent news. The future of the world belongs to Russia, China, South America and all emerging countries.

A new world order is born!

Here is the current breakdown of the 422 ships

Many of these that are not traditional heavy hitters could be weaponized quickly to carry Tomahawk boxes or other similar missile-in-a box solutions.

The supremacy is built with money and economic power. The United States no longer has any of the two things that justifies Supremacy.

Therefore, the scrapping of its military power is a matter of time.

History repeats itself. I remember when the barbarians invaded the Roman Empire peacefully. Waves and waves of immigrants. Immigrants (peaceful or warlike) completely destroyed the Empire. Neither your language survived.

I do not ever click on your links. Life is too short.

Well mine is anyway. Unlike you, who says he remembers when “the barbarians invaded the Roman Empire”.

Wow. What is your secret of such longevity?
    :-)

Back to the article. It would seem that Russian concerns of losing its European market has forced its hand to benefit of China.

interesting how these things turn out. ...

What New World Order would that be?

You obviously live in a strange deluded parallel universe.

Future belongs to SA, Russia, China - it could do if it weren't for the corrupt politicians running the places and I include Brazil in that.

Somebody once said that South America is like a cup of milky coffee - the scum always rises to the top - how true, how true.

Knowing Russia as I know (several trips, friends and business), I think that Russia's relations with the West will enter into the decay process and retaliation. Breaches of contract can occur in some opportunities.

Europe is better progressing quickly with shale gas, for the coming winter will be long, expensive and painful.

Russia will arm themselves to the teeth, spreading their nuclear subs and away from the European Union and the USA.

For South America is opening up a new market with fabulous potential. We will conquer the spaces!

just shows what an idiot you are doesn't it - this is the NORTHERN HEMISPHERE the 'coming winter' is 6 months away.

If you've been to Russia or even outside of Brazil I would be very surprised. From your comments it is quite clear that you are a deluded teenager seldom moving from in front of your PC/laptop or whatever.

In other words the Chinese will be dictating to the Russians what they are willing to pay, and the Russians can take it or feck off.

Putin, with his actions in the Ukraine has caused these problems for Russia, and only China benefits.

Brasileiro. China's economy is about to crash, Russia isn't far behind, and the majority of South American economies are beset by massive corruption and fraud.

Quite frankly the only way for there to be a 'new world order' would be for the West to magically disappear.

These countries you cite aren't doing well at all. They are beset by massive internal problems, even China, and eventually they will collapse into civil war. It's just a matter of time.

    Oh my , oh my...

The EU should seriously consider its options.
The joker of gas cuts is gone, even if it would've hurt themselves the most.

Fine friend they have in USA...

    @ 10

The Han ethnicity is an absolute majority in China. I can not see a civil war in China in the near future.
Russia has always been Russia. With their virtues and well clarified problems. Long-term plans are viable.
South America has evolved in fighting corruption. By leaps and bounds we have built an infrastructure that will cause envy of the world. Therefore, I see a very promising future for our America.

On the Western countries I can only see problems, whether demographic, energy, debt countries, lazy population, unsustainable spending on social welfare, economic recession.

    China's demographic is scary.
    Russia's demographic is depressing.
Brazil's demographic isn't that great either.

I don't be bothered refuting all the idiotic points that Brasileiro posts. But just on that one single point, the “anglo sphere” is better off than those three countries.

It is a move of desperation for Putin. China's always been there, so why now? He sold gas to EU because they paid more than anyone else.

In short order the USA will allow LNG and Oil exports. That will change the world. We have 300yrs of proven nat gas reserves and they've stopped drilling because it has become unprofitable from all of the supply!

This may be a way to push for an FTA with UK and EU, they've been a little stubborn but needed our fuel may just light a fire under them.

@12 It's good to see that you still believe in giving us all a laugh.
Let's have a look at what you say. Because the ethnicity of the majority of the Chinese population is Han, you can't see a civil war.
Shall we look at the various Roman civil wars? There were about 22. Weren't they all Romans? Wars of the Roses in England? All English? Three English Civil Wars? All English? And there are dozens more from all around the world. Do you actually understand the term “civil” war?
“Russia's virtues”. Russia's “virtues” enable it to drop itself in the clag on a regular basis. To join up the dots for you, what do you think the Russian Revolution was? It was a civil war. It'll be having another one soon. Putin is on a tightrope. He's forgotten how many of “his” people now get to the West. They look around and think “This is what we should have”. And Putin is a KGB hardliner.
“South America has evolved in fighting corruption”. Hahahahaha. “Moving” from corruption to corruption isn't evolution, it's stagnation. Nows that's something South America is good at. There's no real difference between the “collector” coming round to pick up your “protection” donation and the president skimming it off your taxes.
But it is true that the EU is a mess. Lord alone knows why you want a trade agreement. Except that you have much more poverty and need the money. Seen how the Chinese operate? But the Chinese are your saviours, aren't they? And they'll pay as little as possible. Because they are now capitalist communists! And western countries will only match those prices if it's in OUR interest. And South America only looks out for the interests of individual “states”. Even when “unasur” steps in, it can do nothing because everyone wants what they want. It's all individual interest. Easy pickings. And we Brits have been doing this for five times longer than you've existed!

Looks like the EU has forced Putin to sell out cheap to the Chinese.

Backed into a corner without global reach the Russian Bear is starting to sweat.

I was talking about the Russia China deal. You know, the one in the article above this thread?

There are no more massive deals for Russia to make. That was my point.

Stevie knows this and was being deliberately disingenuous as he is wont to do when
    a) proved wrong
    b) has nothing left say
    c) just fancies being a goady fucker
    or
    d) all of the above
