    Australia should get the world cup!
    Blatter said it should go to new pastures when spinning the Qatari bid but by giving it back to north America and then south America beforehand shows the BS he spouts. Grondona is owed a favour after supporting the corrupt Blatter regime so this is probably it.

    No thanks. We can wait until 2034 if needed.

    There's maybe an Olympic somewhere in the 2020s or 2030s.

    By 2030, Argentina should be able to re- stack the Villa Miserables shipping containers surrounding BA , into some sort of make-shift stadiums.

    Visitors can sample the favourite local food.
    Soy Burgers, anyone ??!!

    2030 for Uruguay?

    I'm 68 now and most probably will be dead by then so WGAF?

    The Uruguayos will be just as rabid about football and the president probably just as stupid whoever he is (can't see it being a female in this macho country).

    Can't see any Brit support for a footy World Cup in UK unless Blatter and the rest of them reside in prison. As Russia will now lose the right to stage the next World Cup, I wouldn't mind Germany holding the next tournament after they won it in a Brazil.

    @4 Troy

    The opening ceremony with all those Malvanistas burning tyres will be outstandingly spectacular.

    ...if they haven't burnt the tires for fuel by then.

    Where do you suppose they would come up with the Billions of $$$ to build stadiums and accommodations, and transport infrastructure?

    Pie in the sky, at this point.
