Yes Conquistador, ban all English ships and ships with the Falkland Islands aboard. That went so well last time. I wish you Falklanders would pass that ordinance. It would be actually quite funny to see how long you'd last. Remember what happened last time Mercosur did that to you. That British Government spokesman came out crying.....go ahead and ban nitwit.

Army and Air Force is tied at the hip. Is that why you fear talking in details about bases? You've HAD to been on Eglin? Pope.....Edwards? RHEIN MAIN you did not go to the Middle East and NOT go on Rhen Main. AND I suspect you would not have been on any FOB's but you had to be on Bagram or you have never been in the middle east....perhaps it was Saudi.....right.

USAirForce- or is it arse force? Ships trade regularily between the Islands and Montevideo and have done before and since the flag ban issue - not an issue - some ships just use a different flag(FI registered vessels have a choice of 2 - or 3 if of Spanish origen) as they cross the territorial water limit into Montevideo -

One Royal Navy ship that operates in these waters makes a port call there every year as well!

What are you burbling on about?

Cargo ship has just come back direct from southern Chile as well.

    @4

It's such a shame that any contribution to your education, however well-intentioned, inevitably means raining on your parade, but I guess that's inevitable when you systematically let your glee run ahead of your knowledge.

In fact, there is no ban on English shipping anywhere in the world. In the first instance, this is because there is no such thing as English shipping, but curiously there is no ban on British shipping anywhere in the world either. It's true that Mercosur countries have banned the Falklands flag, but it's only the flag that's banned, not the actual vessel. Which means that a vessel only has to change flags and then it's business as usual.

Or in short, the flag ban is a purely symbolic measure with no practical consequence for anybody except insofar as it gets the partners concerned a minor respite from Argentine whining. But don't take my word for it. Read what Benino Belli, head of the South American department in the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has to say about it:

    http://veja.abril.com.br/noticia/mundo/malvinas-apoio-brasileiro-a-argentina-e-antigo-diz-governo

Personally, I think it's cruel of Brazil and the other Mercosur partners to allow Argentina to persist in the delusion of foreign support in this way. It can only prolong the world's most stupid and unfounded territorial dispute needlessly.

But I guess for the Peronists the delusion has to be maintained one way or another, and perhaps this also explains explains the curious phenomenon of brainwashed Malvinistas trying to pass themselves off as members of other nationalities, as if this somehow validated an empty, unworthy cause that nobody outside Argentina gives a flying one about.

    What do you think?

    of course.
who the f*ck would go to the stinky islets?
    nobody.

And Goodness Me, that ancient cliché about English teeth is still flying in the United States Air Force. Is that one still indulged by people who've never been to England, and don't know anyone who has? That's surely unusual in the USAF, I would have thought, but less so even than a disinterested serviceman rushing to defend Argentina with the classic Argentine yah-sucks-boo-what-about-you-knee-jerk response to criticism.

#36 “your asses” you mean West Africa right? Moreover the UK has been leading the international response commiting millions in resources.

“Again” if you're referring to World War II virtually every other non belligerent nation provided more help. What's more interesting is your characterisation that it was somehow “our war”. The UK and it's allies fought against brutal axis aggression where others refused to help or were complicit in that aggression (e.g. The USSR). Germany never desired war with British.

Any help you gave during World War II was more than cancelled out by your brutal pointless aggression against the Falklands.

paulcedron, if someone here contracted ebola they would not be treated in Argentina, they would either be treated in Chile's Clinica Alemana or in the UK.

But it is good to here that Julio Maiztegui National Institute of Human Viral Diseases has assisted in the fight against ebola, goes to show that much more can be achieved through cooperation instead of constant bickering.

    Evolution 101: Genetic drift
In each generation, some individuals may, just by chance, leave behind a few more descendents (and genes, of course!) than other individuals. The genes of the next generation will be the genes of the “lucky” individuals, not necessarily the healthier or “better” individuals. That, in a nutshell, is genetic drift. It happens to ALL populations—there’s no avoiding the vagaries of chance.
    http://evolution.berkeley.edu/evosite/evo101/IIIDGeneticdrift.shtml

My rebuttals of your constant lies and slander.

You denigrate and insult the Falkland Islands and the UK without a shred of evidence except, in some limited cases, a few opinion pieces.

    Most recently you've claimed:
    - the healthcare provided to Falkland Islanders is somehow substandard, this despite their life expectancy being much longer than Argentina. How could this be?
    - England is a “third world” economy. Not only do you not have a clue of what “third world” actually means but the UK economy is currently stronger than the rest of the OECD.
    - Bullshit about the teeth of English people. This despite the fact we are ranked as having the equal (with Denmark and Germany) lowest rate dental decay in Europe.
    - The UK having sub-standard science and technology. This despite the UK having had a hand in the invention or development of ALL modern technology. In particular your precious “ct scanners” and “magnetic resonators”.

I have kind of given up on paulie. He seems to have lost the plot. Can't hold a discussion, let alone form an arguement. Now just spewing bile. Guess the economic pressures and lack of hope in any decent future have finally got to him.
We are witnessing his demise. A slow-motion car-crash.
This must be what it feels like to become carrion in your own lifetime.

Cristina, your chickens are coming home to roost, and they sure ain't pretty.

    57 Ilsen.....thank you thank you:

“ Even the merest smidgen of wit could get you on the scoreboard. If you lost points for bad grammar and repitition you would be in minus figures!”

Straight out of the Troy T playbook on being a purist nitwit but since your the one on the high grammar horse:

    its spelled 'repetition' not -repitition-

Spelling and grammar are not the same thing at all. They are separate facets of sentence construction.

“since your the one on the high grammar horse: its spelled 'repetition' not -repitition-”

Since you're the one on the high spelling horse, it's spelled “you're” not “your” and “it's” not “its”

    Keep trying.

65- Ilsen - the point is moot, I mean really, who cares, this high academia setting where we proverbially kick each other in the teeth every other post. But if you studied English at the Benny Hill School for English then it is spelled repitition...

Do you understand the meaning of the word 'correlation' in respect of your posts @28and @53?

    @56

    “54 boludo
    answer you what, you dimwit?
    you are boring + brainless.
you dont deserve more answers than this one”

Clearly good Argentine irony and humour as your post @56 is the most boring on this thread, showing you as a boring dimwit and does not actually contain an answer.

    @68
“65- Ilsen - the point is moot, I mean really, who cares,”

Obviously you do as you criticised Ilsen for a spelling mistake yet were too dumb to understand that 'you are' is abbreviated to 'you're'.

Once your errors are pointed out you display classic, classic Argentine mentality =I'm wrong but who cares.

Are you related to Alfredo Astiz who in 1982 was going to fight to the death on South Georgia but surrendered without firing a shot, to the Brits?

Also “Benny Hill School for English”. I hope you know the inference of this as all Whenis do.

    Ha ha, maybe.

I can't keep up with his ever changing stories.

He started off saying he was a Tupa, unfairly living in exile in Europe because of Operation Condor.

At one time S. said he worked offshore from Uru. sometimes and longed to go there.

Another time, he said he went there every 4 mis.

Later still, he said he was currently living there, but outside of MV., where the dialect was different.

OK, I give up. I admit it. I have read this sentence about 12 times and I cannot make head nor tail of it, especially not the bizarre non sequitur (curiously enough, another Argentine speciality).

WTF is it supposed to be saying?
