Magallanes region with the second lowest unemployment in Chile: 3.2%

Magallanes Region in the extreme south of Chile had a 3.2% unemployment rate in the third quarter of the year, according to the latest Chilean Stats Office, INE, report. This is the second lowest in the country, behind Aysén Region and marks a slight drop compared to the immediate previous quarter June/July/August, 3,3%. Read full article

This numbers are directly relationed with the development of the oil search under the CEOP´s (Special Contracts of Oil Operation in spanish) wich have increased the direct and indirect needs for labourers and technicians for their companies (a lot of them from abroad) and with a uprising salaries also. Hope the result of the search will bring us good expectations of oil & gas rising from Wells to keep all these people working in the long term.
