Ha, ha, ha....more popcorn please. Is it starting to creek at the seams. Not long now.
Does the Arg. government know how f***ing stupid, inept and pathetic they look to the rest of the world. Please don't tell me the population are buying all this crap.

When this was first reported I didn't think CFK was directly involved. I had two theories after considering everything being reported in the media at the time. Either it was an overzealous worshipper of CFK deciding to take things into their own hands or a rogue intelligence officer (probably recently sacked) trying to implicate CFK. The more the government meddles in the investigation, contradicts the evidence and tries to frame Lagomarsino, I am inclined to point the finger directly at CFK.

Next time she fall over why can't she injure her jaw? It would be a blessing for everyone.

Perhaps we should send out Jeremy Kyle
And make the argentine government do a lie detector test.

    @3
They don't do lie detector tests as they do not have a baseline to work with. In other words they all lie, take it from me I married one and divorced it, as I could not keep up with the lies that were told.

    2. Elaine, It was CFK or a minion with her direction. In Arg the Prez has powers that civilized countries would name dictatorial.
The know everything that is going on and they have their hands in everything.

The Ks are filthy thugs and I hope this is put right eventually.
Probably it will be sorted out by the next gov't to be rid of them all once and for good and don't be surprised if they don't all end up in a USA jail or otherwise disposed of permanently.

The economy continues to get worse, day in and day out more companies are laying off and closing their doors, inflation ticks onwards and upwards and soon they'll be in depression.

I asked one of my Arg friends how its going down there and his response was “si exploto todo aka”

    Good.

Perhaps this should show Obama what a bad government they are,
and perhaps he will get of the fence to make sure that the islanders never ever have to live under CFKs rules,
and show the British honest solid support for the world to see.

“a formidable blow to her administration's credibility.”

Really??!!!??? Does she have any credibility left what-so-ever?

It is incredible to see all these politicians etc commenting on a case/investigation before any trial/investigations has even commenced, let alone concluded. In any modern democracy such behaviour is not permitted as it may prejudice the outcome.
Lies, disinformation, misinformation, distraction, opinion and extrapolation abound.
Zero credibility is all that remains.

@6 See, I never believed that even she could be that blatant even though the murderers were interrupted before they could finish staging the crime scene. She comes across as kinda stupid and her supporters as thugs but it just seemed too crude even for them.

I am betting Lagomarsino wishes he had left the country, he is being framed by the government, poor sod. And it becomes increasingly obvious that the government are determined to fudge any legitimate investigation. That increasingly makes them look guilty.

    9. CFK is not intelligent but she's street smart like an alley cat or Paco dealer. I'm very sure this is not the first murder just the one that is getting Int'l attention.
This got away from them and now they're desperately trying to fix it.
    I think its too late
I hope hope hope hope the Rgs wake up and do something about it.

Death of Alberto Nisman: Timeline of an Argentine scandal
Alberto Nisman's death follows two decades of scandal over the worst terrorist attack in Argentina's history
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/southamerica/argentina/11371087/Death-of-Alberto-Nisman-Timeline-of-an-Argentine-scandal.html

July 18, 1994: Eighty-five people are killed and hundreds more injured when a van packed with explosives detonates at a Jewish community centre in Buenos Aires

September, 2004 : Prosecutor Alberto Nisman takes over the investigation into the attack. He is tasked with cleaning up an inquiry that had been plagued by allegations of evidence suppression and bribery
October, 2006: Nisman brings formal charges alleging that the government of Iran directed the attack, and that Hezbollah militants carried it out
March, 2007: Interpol issues arrest warrants for nine people in connection with the attack, including eight Iranians. No arrests have been made

May, 2008: Nisman calls for the arrest of former Argentine president Carlos Menem for attempting to obstruct the investigation into the attack. Menem and the judge who led the investigation prior to 2004 are later charged with corruption

January 14, 2015: Nisman accuses Kirchner of conspiring with Tehran to protect Iranians involved in the bombing. He alleges that Kirchner agreed to the deal in exchange for increased trade with Iran

January 19, 2015: Nisman is found dead in his apartment from a gunshot wound to the head just hours before he is scheduled to testify before the Argentine congress about Kirchner's involvement
January 22, 2015: Kirchner reverses her poisition and says she believes Nisman was murdered by rogue Argentinian intelligence agents
January 26, 2015: Damian Pachter, the journalist who broke the story of Nisman's death, reports that he has fled to Israel because he was being follo

It was really quite simple; I don’t know why so many people fell for this government version. Because if it had being a vendetta of this so called rogue sector of the Argentine Intelligence that had being pushed away by CFK, then they would have staged a proper murder instead of a suicide. The killers would have made a mess of his the flat, break things up and take the papers and documents away. That will clearly indicate it was the government involved...

Why would Stiuso this overnight obscure former agent now the archenemy of CFK even more dangerous and evil than the classic Clarin’s CEO would want to stage a suicide [like we all know was staged] ??
    It doesn’t make sense.

@10 It is up to the politicians at the opposition now. If the opposition does nothing the people will do nothing. That´s how things work here. And so far, the opposition have done nothing. The people may do pointless demostrations but without a political leader nothing will be done.

    @1. 'creak'.
@2. Of course it's CFK. Take any murder. Who benefits? I doubt Gollum has the guts. Remember how he literally ran away from two Falkland Islanders? Although I suppose it might be the cream cake boy!
@6. If you know this, why doesn't your government act? We've seen the U.S. intervene in so many cases. You have cause. Didn't Timerman board a USAF aircraft and steal items? Isn't the argie 'government' trying to evade the proper laws and legal jurisdiction in a U.S. court? List the members of the argie criminal 'government' that Judge Griesa would cite for contempt of court. If the argie 'government' have stolen money from American citizens, aren't you entitled to go to war? You could wipe argieland out as a 'power' in a few weeks. If you like, you could ask WE British and we'll explain how to do it. You have the weaponry, we have the brains. Just make sure you only ask the British military. Back in 1942, you had an idiot called King (some might call him a traitor) who did his best to negate and undermine the American military by refusing to implement coastal blackouts and convoys. Why wouldn't he believe the country that had already been fighting the nazis for three years? Was it just that he was drunk most of the time?

Get your act together. WE might help. Do you think, this time, WE could kill your troops instead of you killing ours?

But let's just get together and eliminate something no-one needs. 40 million argie war dead are quite acceptable. They've been killing indiscriminately for nearly 200 years. Isn't it time for payback?

Do not forget also that a large number of people are convinced Cris & Maxi killed Nestor , and these guys will know the truth .
In 20 years time , we still won't know who killed Nisman or was behind the AMIA bombing .

Yep. Menem Jr is a juicy one too you forgot to add. Menem said in an interview with Ricky Fort in 2011 that “because of politics he lost his son” and now has admitted to a judge last year that his son was murdered. For years we all believed that Yoma was nuts and that Menem Jr was so addicted to reckless flying that got him killed

I don’t agree I think that we will not have justice that is one thing but in 20 years we will have at least a lot more of fractured information that will be puzzled in that has not being revealed yet and you will have a much better perspective of this.

Nobody that followed the events and case doubts nowadays that Menem gov't covered the AMIA bombings so he was involved with the Iranians. Nisman pretty much solved it. The problem is that Iran didn't deliver the suspects

Obviously they agents suck at their job because they failed to stage a suicide and have made a mess of everything. The bad news is the one who did it will keep their jobs and power even after the government is gone

Nice to see the FO not mincing its words for once :

A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: “This is not a bilateral issue to be negotiated between the UK and Argentina - the Islanders' wishes are paramount.

”We want to have a full and friendly relationship with Argentina, as neighbours in the South Atlantic and as responsible fellow members of the G20, but we will not negotiate away the rights of the Falkland Islands' people against their will or behind their backs.

“There are three parties to this debate, not just two as Argentina likes to pretend.”

Hard to see why Argentina finds this so difficult to understand. Surely it couldn't be that they don't want a solution at all?

No so fast. The investigation of Nisman's death continues. Most judges cannot be suspected of being government sympathizers.
Nisman's accusation was fragile and lacked juridic strength and that becomes clear for anybody taking some time to read it after its disclosure:
    1. The alleged motive for Cristina's cover up in Nisman's accusation was to receive oil from Iran; not a drop of such oil ever came to Argentina.
    2. In exchange, Nisman alleged, the Argentine government would ask Interpol to drop several international “red notices,” or law enforcement alerts against Iranian suspects of a deadly bombing of the Jewish Association building 20 years ago. Ronald Noble, past Interpol chief, said nothing was further than the true; the “red notices” are still there and he said Argentina not only never attempted to have them removed--on the contrary, made sure they would remain in place.
    3. Two “intelligence officers” mentioned in the accusation were in fact never members of the Intelligence Secretariat.
With such an accusation, it was all in the government's interest to have Nisman in front of a Legislative committee called by the opposition and to be attended by government legislators as well.
Who was NOT interested in having such conversation take place?

@20. I don't know why you say such things. Try some reality. Consider a country with a proper legal and judicial system. An organisation, called A, owes lots of money. It refuses to repay the debts that it owes to 'Everyone'. So 'Everyone' takes 'A' to court. The court finds in favour of 'Everyone' and orders 'A' to pay. 'A' continues to wriggle and refuses to pay. In our hypothetical country, the court makes an order, often with a warrant, and the bailiffs go to see 'A' with a demand the 'A' pays or the bailiffs will take 'goods' sufficient to repay the debt once they are auctioned/sold. There's obviously a problem with a country, and thus; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sovereign_default
and pay special attention to the third sentence of the third paragraph.

Isn't there a case going on at the moment where some stupid country has fought a legal action to avoid its debt and had an order made against it? Amazingly, the country in question continues to spend money. Thereby proving that it could pay, but won't. If 'Everyone' decided to take direct action, 'A' wouldn't have a legal leg to stand on because it's acting criminally in defiance of the court order. Such a state may be referred to as a 'pariah state'. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sovereign_default
@30. How do you define 'terrorism'? Go read the 'argentine constitution'. It starts by referring to the 'representatives of the people'. Therefore, the final authority is 'the people'. If 100,000 of 'the people' marched on the Casa Rosada and the Congressional Palace, dragged the criminals out and put them in prisons to await trial, where's the 'terrorism'?
@32. Try again. How do you know that no Iranian oil reached argieland? Do you think Iran's oil is red, white and green? If such Iranians were ever arrested, they would be moved to argieland. Where the 'government' could return them to Iran. You mean they were never 'official' members. See how easy it is when your 'government' isn't honest?

Argentina needed the MOU in order to legitimize the link and contact with Iran. The Intel area already knows that was the overt reason and the actually reason was as Nisman stated before the Kirchner administration had him murder. She is too stupid to comprehend that the covert world was way ahead of her. Ultimately the real world will be performing their “overt” investigation and will indeed end up labeling Argentina as a nation complicit in the aiding of terrorist nations. Something kirchner had hoped the faux suicide would have eliminated.

South America is really becoming a paradise. Narcocracy in Venezuela, terrorist support in Argentina and outright incompetence, greed and corruption in Brazil.

The rest of the SA countries should consolidate their relations and ostracize this trifecta of crime. These three countries will only continue to slide down this nasty slope and ultimately will find themselves in the status of Africa.

The headline on this story is inaccurate. The Argentina government is not trying to discredit prosecutor Fein and Diego Lagomarsino. They discredit themselves--Fein by having stated a blatant inaccuracy (She said Nisman did not rush his return to Argentina from his holiday in Europe when in a WhatsApp posting Nisman wrote precisely the contrary) and Lagomarsino did not answer key questions during an interview with the press (he said Nisman asked him a weapon to protect his daughters when they were in Europe).

    36 Enrique Massot:

You are wrong on both counts:

    1) Prosecutor Fein told the press that Nisman had bought his return ticket on Iberia to arrive back in Bs. As. on 12/01/15, which is exactly what he did. What he may or may not have written in a Whatsapp message is totally irrelevant.

    2) You say ...“Lagomarsino did not answer key questions during an interview with the press...” He was under no obligation to answer questions from the press, and he seemed to tell his story quite completely. You go on to say that ...“Nisman asked him a weapon to protect his daughters when they were in Europe...” Again you are “faltando la verdad.” Only one of his daughters was in Europe and she returned to Argentina before Nisman asked Lagomarsino for the gun.

Do stop peddling the ridiculous kirchnerist drivel.

Now Cristina is spreading rumours that Lagomarsino had an 'intimate relationship' with Nisman.
    http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/feb/04/argentina-president-asked-testify-death-prosecutor

Only in such a 'macho' homophobic and backward country as Argentina could this be considered an insult and used to discredit a man.
To the outside world this is just an obvious homophobic cheap slur that does more to discredit Cristina. Especially considering her hilarious (sic) comments about Chinese speech patterns when graciously attempting to speak the Argentine dialect.
    http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/feb/04/argentina-president-asked-testify-death-prosecutor
Cristina tweeted a message which, like a lot of the stuff she says, caused a bit of a controversy: “Argentine flags in the Tiananmén Men (sic) square, [presumably she just meant Tiananmen Square…] next to the portrait of Mao in the “Forbidden City,” a national pride.”
Some people haven’t reacted too well to this latest comment, possibly due to the fact that Chairman Mao was arguably responsible for the deaths of up to seventy million civilians through starvation, forced labour and executions; a.k.a. the largest democide of the twentieth century. Yep, that’s more than Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, Pol Pot and Leopold II of Belgium all thrown together.

Sorry, this is like watching a slow-motion train-wreck....
