The USA in deed has not interest in Venezuela, in fact crudo oil purchases from Venezuela has decreased mayority in the last 18 months and it is not participant on Investment, financial aid nor Educational/technology students exchange with this south american country.
Please, from being a taxi driver to become President of the 5th crude oil producer country in the world and having not the adequate training or education, all of that has contributed to the economic, political and social mismanagement of the country, in fact 64% is the actual inflation rate of venezuela, as leader inflation rate in south america and in the globe.
Basic human necessities have not been delivery to venezuelans.
Its People are asking for Maduro's resignation.
To resolve Venezuela current economic chaos has leaded only to long and prospect avenue, and that alternative is to “Dollarize” the country.

The United States went crazy! Whatever happens in the Americas fault of their Nazi government, they suffered terrible consequences. Including a new civil war with the millions of Spaniards who live there.

    Viva a Venezuela!

You really have to love this guy... SO FUNNY!

I always look forward to his “coup of the week” announcement. The crazier, the better!

The best thing is, one of these days Maduro will be RIGHT! Of course, someone else (probably in the military) will be talking about the new government, the crisis that made the change necessary, and the noble cause (and the needs of the people) that made it imperative to remove Maduro from office.

Usually you have to pay to view a circus. Not here...

Best wishes to everyone, especially the suffering people of Venezuela.

Venezuela is doing a bang up job of destroying itself why oh why would the USA bother trying to get rid of the moron when the people will do it for us in short order.
They made a huge mistake during the last coup not shooting Chavez. If there's a coup you always always always need to kill the Prez. Always.
    Silly monkeys.

The US spokesperson Psaki looks too young to know the kidnapped President Zelaya of Honduras was taken from to a US airbase at 3AM and flown out of the country.

In Washington, a State department spokesperson called the idea “ludicrous”.
“These latest accusations, like all previous such accusations, are ludicrous. As a matter of longstanding policy, the United States does not support political transitions by non-constitutional means. Political transitions must be democratic, constitutional, peaceful, and legal”, said spokesperson Psaki.

Only in Venezuela does one repeatedly see the leader of a nation wearing a gaudy, garish track suit.

    Por que ?

Is Mr. Maduro losing any of his portly panzon, or stomach ? It doesn't appear to be so.
Does Mr. Maduro run, jog, or as we say here “Cooper ? ” Not that I can see.

So the answer is Mr. Maduro is actually wearing a “ leisure suit, ” enabling him to lounge around the couch on his backside, eating tropical fruit and chocolates, with the occasional side dish of a whole pollo (chicken) or five, all the time watching the novelas on TV. My, what great leadership !

The Cubans develop the repeated coup fantasies each month ( a trait clearly left over from the Chavez days ) with the portly Mr. Leisure Suit being summoned only to read the prepared “coup notice ” details.

With or without the “ chicken ” hat, as it makes no difference for this head of state. What a great example to the revolution for us all !

With so many coup attempts perpetrated by the CIA against the Bolivarian governments in Venezuela for more than 15 years, Its hard to see how the US won the Cold war.

The CIA must really suck nowadays.

I talked to one of my employees in Venezuela this morning. He said the Bolivar is at 190 to the USD. LOL, I had to get him to repeat it as thought I misheard him.
He is pretty much a prisoner in VZ as he can't even get a flight out of there at the moment.

    Oye, Cabeza-

Why should they even try ?

Sr. Maduro, aka “ El Supremo ” is doing a fantastic job all by himself .

( Including of course his 1,500 Cuban security, financial, and medical advisers ).

“Maduro claims a coup attempt was foiled, and blames the US”

utterly ridiculous, even the most hardcore chavistas are starting to smell a rat with these increasingly hystericatal claims.

what a foolish man is Maduro....

but watch for diablo Cabello, this psycho is fucking dangerous and the true power behind the throne.

I give it 3 months before utter chaos descends.

#13: I think that under that track suit are several layers of bullet proof clothing. Even when he is outside and the average temperature is 30+ degrees he is dressed head to toe in bulky clothing.

Pit-CNT has made a statement about the need of getting USA out of Venezuela. Regardless of what anyone thinks of the leadership of Venezuela, it's for the Venezolanos to decide, not USA.

SA needs to be united on this.

@6. There are only 17.1% Hispanics/Latinos in the United States. Civil war? More likely to be civil annihilation!
@24. A trade union? In Urineguay? A nothing in nothing. Getting desperate, girlie! Why not get a statement from a bandy-legged transexual in a shitheap? And there's CFK in argieland. Perfect!
@26. South Americans couldn't decide and agree to scratch their arses. Confusion. And they'd be scratching from the inside. South Americans are always keen on having something up their arses. The very few females in South America are much the same.

How on Earth, do people feed their families?

    Businesses failing.

    Fewer jobs

    High inflation

Most food goes to Black Market - perhaps less food produced, none imported.

    What do they do?

    Surely, not everyone can barter

    Troy

Sadly, the next wave of riots have started.

    To answer your question.

No. They can't. They don't. Hence the civil unrest.
    ------------------

Maduroooo keeps bleating about an 'economic war' and 'terrorist/imperealist plots', but everyone is slowly learning the truth.
This 'Socialist Paradise' is being run by a bunch of inept crooks.

3-6 months and the chaos descends...

I think the military might split and start fighting each other... worse case scenario, because the economy would obviously become second-place, and democracy will become lost to another generation...

Don't blame the fall of Socialism on inept crooks, yes they are but Socialism would have failed regardless of who is using it.

    Its a failed ideology.

That's the problem with liberals, they think Socialism failed because people weren't smart enough to get it to work. They always think the next time will be different.
There is nothing worse than a stupid person who thinks they're smart.
