He should be talking to Argentina as they are “full of wind” mostly out of their arses.

Paulie- he will speak and explain- interested people will ask questions- a report will follow - then maybe some of the smaller Caribbean Island States can decide- “this could work for us also” - and if their weather conditions are suitable then they to can start to save money and have cheaper electricity- thanks to Falklands practical experience.

    Sorry you lost out.

    @ 3 Islander1
“ if their weather conditions are suitable”

    And therein lies the rub.

I suppose it would work when the have typhoons and other major wind problems because the Falklands it “ain't”.

Uruguay have EXACTLY the same problems: either no wind or too much wind for the turbine CVT.

Bit obvious really but not to UTE and 'No Money Pepe'. I wonder if a weather survey was actually carried out by an independent organization or did UTE rely on the supplier “survey”?

I think we all know the answer to that one.

4- I admit am no expert and maybe solar better in the Caribbean, but the ones we have here, work in very little wind actually - and gales not a problem as they “feather down” but still produce good power output.
