    EXACTLY.

    Sorry, but Betts isn't an “islander”. He's now an Argentinean.

    He migrated and therefore is no longer an “islander”.

    He definitely acts deluded like an Argentinean. You yourself proved that.

    Being born somewhere doesnt automatically give you that countries nationality, nor does it mean you keep it after you leave.

    A child knows this...Paul condom doesnt.

    What “legal document” does Argentina have for the Malvinas? There is none.

    International community regulations state that the Islanders have the right to self-determination as do the inhabitants of all NSGTs

    Poor Paul....very very very thick!

    @5. No, not EXACTLY, there's a word missing. It should read “Betts argues that self determination is a decoy used by the UK and Islanders not to comply with IRRELEVANT international community resolutions”.

    You've been told FACTS on any number of occasions. We'll try one more time. UN General Assembly resolutions are NON-BINDING. Now, is it NON or BINDING that you have a problem with? Can you get with the concept that NON before BINDING means the same as NOT BINDING?

    “UK is a mere administrative power of the Islands with no legal document or rights over the Malvinas.”
    Correct. Where's “the Malvinas”? Cordoba, isn't it?

    @8. And you were, I presume, born in argieland. Hence, you are a prick. We can see the result. It's difficult to tell the difference between an argie and a banana. Bent and yellow. Then there's the banana.

    The Falklands are only a sideshow. Financiers (or any perceived external threat) kick rotting roadkill. rotting roadkill then threatens the Falklands. If the domestic press in rotting roadkill could be totally squelched the Falklands wouldn't be an issue. It's that simple. The only reason the rotting roadkiliian masses want it is because they have been and continue to be conditioned to do so.

    rotting roadkill: Pay your debts.

    Paulie- Come on now - answer Conqueror,s points please.

    List the Inyernational Organisations that have the power to issue International BINDING resolutions please.

    Then list the Internationally Binding resulutions that have been passed and apply to the Islands. Hint- look to UN Security Council and Int Court of Justice.

    I am only aware of one- Res 502 from the UN Security Council in April 1982 - it mentioned the Islands as it instructed Argentina to withdraw her armed forces from the Islands.
    I seem to recall that Argentina ignored that Internationally BINDING resolution - thus the UK had International Law on its side when it kicked Argentine forces out a few weeks later.

    These dear boy are FACTS - you usually spout a lot of theoretical garbage of no International value. Rather like Bettsy boy!

    ”I know firsthand international law,..the self determination argument from the UK is a decoy ..illegitimate occupation by a colonial power,
    “UN Charter; DECLARATION REGARDING NON-SELF-GOVERNING TERRITORIES; Article 73; Members of the United Nations which have or assume responsibilities for ..peoples have not yet attained ..of self-government recognize the principle that the interests of the inhabitants of these territories are paramount, ..b. to develop self-government, ...”
    “Self-determination of people: a legal reappraisal by Antonio Cassese
    The content of self-determination as laid down in the Covenants Article 1 of both the UN Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the UN Covenant on Civil and Political Rights provides as follows:
    All peoples have the right of self-determination. ... All peoples may, ... freely dispose of their natural wealth and resources ...
    ”The States Parties to the present Covenant, including those having responsibility for the administration of Non-Self-Govcrning and Trust Territories, shall promote ...the right of self-determination, and shall respect that right, in conformity with the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations.
    SELF-DETERMINATION AS A CONTINUING RIGHT'. EXPRESSION OF THE POPULAR WILL
    53 Article 1(3) grants pcoples of dependent territories (non-self-governing and trust territories) the right freely to decide their international status, in other words, whether to form a State or to associate with an existing sovereign” Oops this makes Sr. Betts a liar, which should make him an ideal representative of Argentina.

    @5. By the way, I forgot to mention that all those silly little organisations you like to come up with in south america are neither of interest nor of relevance. What's it about? “Must use all the letters in the alphabet”? Here's a catch-all organisation for you. It's the WABOT organisation. You can add “sur” or “SUR” to it if you want. It's the What A Bunch Of Tossers organisation. Is it an offence to have a false address on your argie ID? Betts has an address on his that hasn't been valid for 33 years. Is he a bigamist? A traitor? A coward? A liar? All five? Terrific “credentials”.

    Maybe justice will be done. Quite recently a number of argies got turned down for “war pensions”. Wait until they pop round to see Alex. He might learn what it's like to be in a war zone!

    Will he dare to appear at the C-24 again? Let's see how he likes it when his list of crimes is stated publicly.

    “Betts argues that self determination is a decoy used by the UK and Islanders not to comply with international community resolutions”

    No, idiot, because none of these resolutions are binding the UK doesn't have to comply with them.

    Now, if you were to go to the ICJ, you might get a 'binding' ruling.

    @8
    ”you are not very bright, no?
    he was born in the islets.
    hence, he is an islander,”

    According to Argentina he is not an islander as the Argentines do not recognise Islanders.
    So Betts according to you is an implant squatter -not an islander.

    Make your mind up and stop locking yourself in that CT scanner all day.

    Incidentally, you have often described the islanders as stupid.

    These are the facts.

    3000 people on an Island the size of Northern Ireland have more or less, got what they want.

    Their neighbours with a population of 40 000 000 haven't got what they want, and have not had a ruling toe on the Islands since 3 months (that's a quarter of a YEAR Paul) in 1982. over a quarter of a CENTURY ago. (Sorry, no bold, so shouty capitals).

    Resolution 2065 was issued half a century ago-to exactly what result?

    A few of your Spanish mates agree with your side?

    In 2015 the situation is more or less the same.

    And you think the Islanders are stupid when they hold the winning cards?

    Where has all this so called international support got you?

    You're nowhere nearer to getting the Islands than 33 years ago when you were booted off.

    And you still say the islanders are stupid?

    If Argentina's 'native cunning is so good, why are they not the administrative power?

    He is viewed by many, and with good reason as a de facto traitor, so he has zero credibility.
    Gott resigned as literary editor of the Guardian in 1994 after it was alleged in The Spectator that he had been an “agent of influence” for the KGB, claims which he rejected, arguing that “Like many other journalists, diplomats and politicians, I lunched with Russians during the cold war”. He asserted that his resignation was “a debt of honour to my paper, not an admission of guilt”, because his failure to inform his editor of three trips abroad to meet with KGB officials at their expense had caused embarrassment to the paper during its investigation of Jonathan Aitken.
    The source of the allegation that he was an agent, KGB defector Oleg Gordievsky. In his resignation letter Gott admitted “I took red gold, even if it was only in the form of expenses for myself and my partner. That, in the circumstances, was culpable stupidity, though at the time it seemed more like an enjoyable joke”.

    “argentina recognizes the islets as some kind of province”

    Most countries with provinces have some power over them. Your country has no power over the Falklands whatsoever.

    If Argentina ruled the Islands as a province, why are the signs and official documentation not in Spanish, you educationally subnormal moron?

    @22 Troy

    “Why would he “adopt” Argie nationality, unless he never had it before... being born in the Falkland Islands and all.... ???”

    For someone so keen on Argentina, it took a long time to persuade him that being Argentine was a good idea. Betts is so stupid I expect he attended junior school classes and eventually got brainwashed.

    Perhaps this why the Argentine government think they will persuade the Islanders to be Argentine as it worked on Betts after 30 years, so according to Argentine logic everyone on the Islands will follow.......prats.

    @24
    “Betts is a great guy and very sincere, that bothers”

    Does the pope agree?

    @29
    “Good after all there is some hope that the rest of the Islanders will understand that take over other people gardens with flags is a felony...”

    Which gardens did Mestivier tend before his own men (not the enemy) murdered him? Did Pinedo have gardens? Thought he lived mostly on the Sarandi?

    The 22 people that asked to stay in January 1833 kept their gardens, including Antonina Roxa (transplanted from South America, not England), who ended up with a ranch near Stanley (that's a bit bigger than a garden).

    The odds are, if her own people had run the Islands, she would have ended up with nothing.
