    Glad to see that the FALKLANDS Government are dotting the “ i's ” and crossing the “ t's ” all good governance methinks.

    Great news. Let's all hope the drillers are successful in their search but, no matter what, this will extend their knowledge of the geology of the Falklands' waters, priceless when assessing opportunities.

    The argies in charge of TDC don't even understand the concept of good governance.

    So, what's new?

    Steady, stable, well-considered progress.
    Indeed, a lesson for those that covet the Islands.

    More arrest warrants for the argentine judges to issue.

    Interesting that one has been called Rhea.

    I presume it is a myth that Ostriches stick their head in the sands, though Rheas are found in Argentina and their politicians spend a lot of time observing the minute molecular structure of sand particles-a tongue-in-cheek Falkland islander sense of humour name? Or coincidence?

    @5 Pete

    Interesting theory but it is more probable that Rhea was named after the daughter of the Earth Goddess Gaia and the Sky God Uranus.

    It'll be good for the Falklanders to have the revenue from sites like this. Once the money starts rolling in they'll be able to make good and affordable improvements to their whole society.

    It's a pity Argentina doesn't take a leaf out of the Falklanders good governance book...but they're too busy stealing everything that isn't nailed down.

    “is more probable that Rhea was named after the daughter of the Earth Goddess Gaia and the Sky God Uranus.”

    Interesting to know, “It's a pity Argentina doesn't take a leaf out of the Falklanders good governance book...but they're too busy stealing everything that isn't nailed down.”

    Yes and although this sounds like a scratched record, a bit of friendliness shown to the Islanders would enable unemployed tyre burners in Tierra del Fuego to get jobs in the Islands (similar tot the Spanish who work in Gibraltar), and mean that Argentina would benefit from the money in the Falklands rather than get nowt.
