World Trade Organization, or WTO, reached a groundbreaking accord in Kenya on Saturday which obliges developed countries to eliminate subsidies for their agricultural exports as requested by the least developed nations to protect their farmers. Read full article

    It is an advance that could greatly benefit the food producing countries that do not subsidize their producers.

    The WTO has achieved great victories during the term of Brazilian Roberto Azevedo.

    South America will be the most favored region by that measure.

    Will be a massive boon to Australia's agricultural sector.

    As one of the most efficient and least subsidised in the world we are about to become even more competitive.

    And our free trade agreements with countries such as the US, China, Korea and Japan will help us sell even more now that our competitors in both developed and developing countries can't undercut us.
