Freshly arrived from London, England exactly two years ago...
How did she managed to jump the looooong queue of aspirants (ya know, them brownies from St. Helena & Chile, for example) and become a “Belonger” and a “Representant for them Islands” sooooooooooooooo quick...?

She is obviously interacting with other that them penguins...;-)

I can shed some light on this: there is no such thing as 'belonger status'. As for Gemma Finn, if she applied to represent the Falkland Islands, and was chosen, and identifies as a Falkland Islander, then good luck to her. Thankfully, the number of old fossils who worry about how many generations anyone's family has been in the islands is diminishing as they drop off the perch (or move to Southampton).

    Dear Monty 96...

1)” Falkland Islands status is a legal status in the Falkland Islands (the Falklands form of Belonger Status) ”

    2) “ A person who has been granted Falkland Islands status under an Ordinance providing for the grant of that status to persons who have been ordinarily resident in the Falkland Islands for a period of AT LEAST SEVEN YEARS, or such period not exceeding seven years as the Ordinance may prescribe, and has not, in accordance with that Ordinance, lost or been deprived of such status.”
