    I will never settle !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder how it will pan out where his businesses are suing the federal government over the old post office building in DC over paying too much taxes? I suppose well once he installs his judges.

    1- jail the oppostion
    2-remove the media
    3-install judges
4-work on laws and the constitution

And it's not South America I'm talking about, that is the scary part. Indiana already pushed a bill to heavily criminalize abortion recipients and providers with serious jail time. They are working on a bill to criminalize homosexuality with a sentence of reversion therapy until cured....they are waiting to move that one forward.

I get a kick how pissed Trump supporters are at the insults and protesters. They seem to forget everything they through at Obama will be coming back. They have control so they should just smugly sit back and smile. Even at the first SOTU address when a democratic congressmen jumps up and yells.....“ YOUR A RACIST”.

    @CP

I think Obama just signed into law a bill that will stop in its tracks any attempt to make abortion illegal.

You know, Trump never thought he would win. I don't think he even wanted to win. He wanted to raise the profile of his brand and throw stones at the establishment. Now he is President-elect and already softening his stance on many issues because what he said, like a Pied Piper for old grumpy people, he simply cannot deliver or fix. He told them what they wanted to hear and gave them a platform. Now he has the problem of actually delivering on his promises, something he has not been known for in the past.

Trump is more crooked than the Clintons and we can see him buying his way out of trouble already. Trump is a conman. Conmen are good at conning people. He conned a lot of people to get where he is. But all conmen get found out when they have to deliver on their promises.

Like most people I didn't care for Hillary Clinton. I care even less for Trump but I am less worried because government and the system are more powerful than one president. We saw how the system stifled Obama and it will be the same for Trump, even with his majorities.

I agree that Trump didn't think he would win, nor wanted to and is shocked that he is an he cannot “Quit”, that is for “losers”.

*1 Trillion on infrastructure, but not a stimulus
    * Looks like Obamacare is here to stay, the small businesses are bitching about it going away
    * 18 million illegal deportees........2 -3 millions.......over years....if they do it at all
    * looks like Mexico will not be paying for the wall, or should I say fence......or the maybe fence?
    * When do we start counting the 25 million jobs, January 21 or February 1st? Frr Trump supporters say to give it time, I say that same GOP extremists gave Obama.
    * Aggressively challenge China's power in the world by declaring the country a currency manipulator.....NOT!
    * Will he still “TAX THE SHIT” out of foreign imports?
Just too many promises to break to list.

Maybe all this influx of new manufacturing retruning can build in Florida, there is much in common with a developing nation; limited education, poor to low wages, high elderly population, green polluted waterways.....

I'm not sure what bill you are referring to?

I think that a can of worms is about to be opened.

This article shows how Trump conducts business and how much his promises are worth.

    More crooked than the clitons?

    Is than even possible?

    Did he have to elocute?

Did he even stipulate in the settlement?

Is he barred from future participation?

What were the plaintiffs originally seeking?

    The settlement amount?

Did he just cut another deal?

    Did he make an admission?

Obviously not a straight arrow but did he just dispose of what was in his eyes - a trivial matter?

I heard that Jeff Sessions clutched his teddy bear and cried all of last night.

Mike Flynn is so rattled that he couldn't sleep but 8 hours.

All I wanted was a couple of justices so these guys are just icing on the cake.

    Rail on!

If the conquerors are so thin skinned that they can't withstand this level of torment - they don't deserve to occupy the castle.

Let's get some serious allegations out there!

You know, some Vince Foster level stuff.

[Question: Who pays for the bus charters required to mobilize the street protestors?]

Come on - is this your best?

All smoke and flash - no bang.

Petition for an independent counsel - no, that law lapsed.

    Ask for a special counsel!

    Uhhhh . . . Jeff will be appointing them . . .

    How about a peremptory impeachment?

    Don't have the votes . . . .

We'll skewer him into submission in the mainstream press!

How's that worked out so far?

FLASH: You have him/his agenda for a couple of years - longer if the Demos continue on their downward spiral of hate, division and alienation.

Years ago you could drive right by 1600 PA.

It was a rare day when there wasn't some kind of protest.

Flail about in perpetuity if it suits you.

Trump's rhetoric is already showing its effects as business starts to signal concessions to his policies.

If you've got better ideas offer them up.

This is now a contest of who can produce.

If Trump can't - he won't last, but if Democrats can offer something better they won't be the beneficiary of his failure.

This is about just ONE of his rackets!

What about the rest of them which are pending?

And also those which will come to light as time passes?

After being impeached; he will be fit to be the president of Brazil or of many other countries in Latin America!

I agree this is the first of many settlements we will see and he is likely to have a troubled time in office as he has made himself a target.

D.C. will go on much as before, the system is bigger than any one president. And already Trump is back-tracking on contentious issues and realising he cannot run the country like one of his businesses. The only real danger is if he pisses off a foreign power.

I think we will still have a media frenzy when he mades silly gaffs but a lot of that could be avoiding if his team just took his phone away from him. The Hamilton situation is a prime example of him not understanding the constitution (someone read it to him). He escalated the situation whilst Pence accepted it as perfectly acceptable free speech.

One positive is that a sociopath will have no problem taking one stance in public and playing to his hate-filled followers whilst doing the complete opposite in reality. He won't be troubled by a conscience because he doesn't have one.

Sig Heil seems to be replaced with Hail Trump, though the salute remains. Trumps response......I am president to all the people. It looks like to 60s all over again......with complete civil unrest. Leave it to a neo nazi white supremacist president to destroy a country....fast. How fast are his campaign promises fading?

In several hundred years, when historians look at how the USA broke into several countries, trump will be viewed in much the same way historians view Commodus and his contribution to Rome.

There are innumerable instances to prove beyond any doubt that politics is full of rackets / racketeers. NO investor in his right mind would “DONATE” billions of dollars to a campaign just because his patriotic instincts are itching out of control! :o))

    @:o))

It doesn't happen in U.K. elections where the amount of money allowed to campaign is limited and that would change U.S. politics for the better if adopted.

However, it doesn't stop money being donated to politics parties and I have no doubt that is exploited. The running joke during Blair's term as PM was £1m for a knighthood as he was rather blatant about it. I am not saying other parties don't reward their financial supporters.

“Exchanging of Favors” - in one form or another - is a part of the DNA [not just in the human beings]! However ONLY the human beings misuse it to the greatest possible extent. The brits may not be all that immune as a special case!

    @ :o))

I didn't say we were immune. And what you say is true to an extent because it is human nature to behave favourably towards family, friends, and likeminded people. It is how business has been done forever.

Where is becomes an abuse of power or conflict of interest is where the law should prevail. Someone needs to explain to Trump exactly what conflict of interest means because he has no idea. He even thinks putting his assets into a blind trust (as all modern day Presidents have dome) is passing control to his children and having them work with him at The White House.

ElaineB: REF: “Someone needs to explain to Trump exactly what conflict of interest means because he has no idea”:

His entire career was built on racketeering which is his main livelihood and past-time! So how can he ever have an idea about what “Conflict of Interests” mean?

He probably didn't need to know it before but being POTUS is a whole different world.

I think he will love the power and hate the protocol.
