Petrobras credit rating raised to BB-: improved governance “compares well with those of its peers”

Credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s on Friday raised its corporate credit rating on Petrobras, one notch, from B+ to BB-. The rating change does not lift Petrobras out of the non-investment grade category, but it lowers the risk from “highly speculative” to “speculative.” Read full article

    REF: “The IEA expects Brazil, Canada, and the United States to increase production by 750,000 barrels a day this year”:
    - Besides being speculative; it is merely theoretical.
    - They may not reach the expected production due to the dwindling world-demand/recession.
    - Even if they reach the expected volume; the profits will be too small [OR the losses will be prohibitive].
