What the story doesn't say is that the small obstacle flights between the Falklands and other South American countries being prevented by the Argentine Government was also sorted out.

“Cabrera admitted that Argentina for too long has had an isolated, closed economy policy which “has been bad for us”, and time has shown that it only “harvested poverty”.”

The Argentine trade official from Buenos Aires seems to directly contradict the obsolete ramblings of Enrique, the day-labourer ideologue from Alberta.

”has shown that it only “harvested poverty”.

At last back to the real world, which can only help Argentina's economy and employment. At present at least, Argentina appears to be reversing its previous policy of financial implosion.

Macri cannot deliver flights unless he gains a seats after the mid-term elections.

Which means that Macri cannot deliver.

Such is the value of Argentine Agreements.

As valuable as a Birmingham button

In the major media in that success story of Sudacamerica, we see that something over 47 percent of the children today in Argentina live in....... poverty, according to the published UNICEF study.

“La pobreza monetaria en la niñez y adolescencia en la Argentina” ----”....si se segmenta la población de niños en tres grandes grupos de edad se observa que la incidencia mayor de la pobreza se verifica para el grupo de 13 a 17 años (51%), seguido por el grupo de 5 a 12 años (48%) y 0 a 4 años (45%)“.

Maybe reekie can now understand what this ”heavy legacy” means.

No, no, no! Marti, if you ask Tricky Dick Reekie, poverty was down to less than 5 per cent during the government of that torch of truth, Cristina the almost lawyer.

The remaining 42 per cent poverty was magically achieved during the last 16 months. Reekie knows all about it. After all he hasn't been near Argentina these 32 years as opposed to us who live here.

In order to implement deals you need people that make decisions.

Hard to get that when there is no functioning government to speak up on the northeast Atlantic side of this agreement...

    As I have said elsewhere:

UK elections - we have a Conservative government which carries the endorsement of our Head of State. Service as usual - maybe not to the liking of all of us but c'est la vie!

Democracy has prevailed as is our tradition!.

    Your statement “no vale”!

For the past 80 or so years, one of the favourite wet-dreams in Argentina is that the distant UK will slip on a banana-peel and thereby totally loose its otherwise unimpeachable ability to dictate the levels of rainfall in Chubut and the sort of toothpaste that can be sold in Venado Tuerto.

I don't think there are many here (Argentina) who understand that this country's destiny is not tied to the UK's fortunes, but rather is constrained by Argentina's own enduring and evidently unshakeable inability to govern itself competently.
