    “Temer said changes in the attorney general’s office “will put investigations back on its right course.””

    Put them on a course away from him, presumably.

    @JB

    For the Brazilians to “Wake-Up” AND “act”; perhaps it needs to get worse before seeing a dim light at the end of a long tunnel.

    REF: According to the Reports/News from different sources: Brazil is tending to be ALMOST = Venezuela: One More Example:

    With so many ignorant, easily manipulated people, it's gonna be hard for them to “wake up”... the two situations, while having a few similar aspects, have mostly different causes.

    The article states “Meanwhile, recent protests in both countries have also been violently repressed. While Venezuela’s situation is again much more extreme than Brazil’s, the two governments have both employed the military to try to maintain order ....”

    I haven't seen any violently repressed protests in Brazil except for the times the protests got out of hand (usually those defending Lula and the PT), with 'protesters' resorting to destroying public/ private property....and even then, not repressed as forcefully as they should have been.

    As to employing the military to maintain order, the use of the military in Rio has nothing to do with why and what the Venezuelan military are doing....

    The Vz/Br-Situation at its best may be considered as “Heading for Chaos” via different paths, at different speeds, and for different reasons BUT Surely & Steadily “Heading for a chaos”!
