Nice man that made some very entertaining documentaries, but don't buy his premise however that “civilization collapse” is on the horizon.

More ominous tales of disaster from dreadful imminent global “climate change” is being franticly promoted by Globalists. Chile has embraced lowering its carbon footprint with enormous investments in solar and wind turbine protects and I'm all for fighting pollution and adapting to renewable energy projects when it makes economic sense.

Hysterical “chicken littles” however are trying to convince a gullible world populace that increased CO2 is causing air temperature to rise. However, the truth is not certain, and climate activists may have it backwards. You can easily read about how the Climatic Research Unit in England had been manipulating temperature data to support claims of global warming. There is strong evidence that global temperatures stopped increasing about 15 years ago. (There will be spikes – up and down – but the longer-range temperature trend is downward.)

“Ecological” Globalists are promoting the mandatory enforcement of evil carbon taxes and radically changingy our dietary habits by “educating” us about the dreadful harm to the earth by such ridiculous rants about consuming meat, taxing dairy farms for excessive methane emissions and redistributing wealth in what they consider “equitable.” In short, in my humble opinion, it's all bullsh*t!

“taxing dairy farms for excessive methane emissions” Like I told K.D. Lang when she became unpopular with the ranchers on this very issue. Tell them it's all a load of bull-shit.
We can clearly see since the start of the industrial age, the effects of human population increase and industrial activities has on the planet. If the maxim is to do no harm then that is what we should be moving towards. While remembering we cannot walk without bending a blade of grass. There should be no reason why prudent care shouldn't lead to profitable successes, as is already occurring. The idea that everything is sustainable if we keep peeing in pool is not a very convincing argument.
”Chile's free market means there is a distinct lack of anti-pollution laws, either for industry or commuters. And as a result, Santiago has become desperately polluted. In 1992, Santiago had the fifth worst air pollution of any city in the world, with levels three to four times higher than the upper limits recommended by the World Health Organization.
Some 150 industries in Santiago emit 100 times the pollution recommended by particulate norms. Only 30 percent of the city's 600,000 cars have catalytic converters. Due to a lack of public works programs (and an equal lack of business interest), the city has nearly 600 miles of dusty, unpaved roads. The result is a thick, purplish smog that literally chokes the city.”

Perhaps somebody could get this message to POTUS. He just may wake up to the fact that climate changes are definitely causing problems to the world. He may even not withdraw from the Paris Weather agreement. Miracles never cease!!

I knew my post would probably upset one of our SJW Snowflakes to react. Citing data from 1992 has nothing to do with what's happening today in Santiago. The idiot Terrence Hill needs to focus on the really nasty polluters like China, not Chile.

Your the one who is claiming an economic miracle for your country and that “Ecological” Globalists are promoting .. it's all bullsh*t!“ When shown evidence that contradicts both your assertions, you rely on two fallacies, moving the goal-posts, and an argumentum ad hominem. A fact is a statement that can be proven true, while an opinion is a statement that cannot be proven true. So you stay with opinion and I'll stick to the facts.
”Knowledge of the world depends on the power of drawing general inferences from individual examples; and he is the most likely to be correct who has the greatest number of facts at his command.“ Charles William Day
    https://www.numbeo.com/pollution/in/Santiago
    The Chilean journal Apsi reports:
”The liquid that emerges from the millions of faucets in the homes and alleys of Santiago have levels of copper, iron, magnesium and lead which exceed by many times the maximum tolerable norms. [The lands that] supply the fruits and vegetables of the Metropolitan Region are irrigated with waters that exceed by 1000 times the maximum quantity of coliforms acceptable. [This is why Santiago] has levels of hepatitis, typhoid, and parasites which are not seen in any other part of the continent.” (35)
The problem is not limited to Santiago. Half the country has become a desert under misguided industrial and environmental policies. A study by the Central Bank of Chile estimates that by the year 2025, Chile's native forests will have disappeared at current rates of extraction. (36) The Bank also reports that out of nine fish stocks off the Chilean coast, only one (sardines) has increased between 1985 and 1993. Five are in dramatic decline, having fallen between 30 and 96 percent. (37)
Chicago economist Ronald Coase, you may recall, won a Nobel prize for a theorem explaining how markets can resolve externalities like pollution. Chile — the Chicago boys' own experiment — strongly suggests otherwise.

I owe a great apology to Mr. Terrence Hill for opening my eyes to the horrible disaster of a country that I was earlier mistaken to belive was fabulous.

Things importantly I've learned from Terry:
    1. Wine does not come out of my kitchen tap, but inexplicably instead WATER!
    2. That a large portion of my country is shockingly covered by a dry DESERT!
    3. That my beloved Santiago is infested with ”hepatitis, typhoid, and parasites which are not seen in any other part of the continent.”

My question is why didn't anyone before advised me? If I'd known earlier, I could have moved somewhere politically democratically progressive, safe and prosperous, like Venezuela, Nicaragua or Cuba.

“Who think everyone is a liar” I'm usually pretty well disposed to most. But, in your instance as you are an incorrigible liar. As I have shown many times before, and I'm quite prepared to parade the evidence again, in the face of your futile denials .
“I do not have to prove myself” Then your claim to military service is bullshit, what was it heel-spurs, bribery or the like. Your the one claiming, thus you bear the burden to prove, like I have. I hadn't given a second thought.
But its perfectly clear it's just another of your pretensions. For all of your life you've been an utter nobody want-to-be.
Come, show one instance where you have ever been able to refute anything I have claimed. Nor, conversely can you show any occasion where you have proved anything you've claimed as true. Here's a chance to set the record, no you won't, and we both no why.
