Falklands’ Rockhopper spuds new well and plans another drilling slot
Rockhopper Exploration is in talks with Diamond Offshore about lining up another drilling slot as it spuds a well off the Falkland Islands. Diamond Offshore are the owners of the Ocean Guarding drilling rig contracted by Desire Petroleum and involved in the current hydrocarbons exploration round.

Brazil Announces Discovery of Field with 4.5 Billion Barrels of Light Oil
Brazil’s National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) has revealed that the 2-ANP-1-RJS well, dubbed Franco, is estimated to hold 4.5 billion barrels of recoverable light oil.
