    Rosindell has called for the territories to be dealt with by a single UK government department and recognised as equal members of the British family

    The British Conservative MP for Romford, Andrew Rosindell, who sits on the Foreign Affairs Committee and is a long-time advocate for the interests of British Overseas Territories, has repeated his call for better and equitable representation for those territories.

    MP Rosindell believes there was no reason why BOTs could not have Members of the House of Lords straight away, while the House system is in process

    An influential Tory MP has said that increased devolution powers to the Home countries has made lack of Westminster representation for the Crown Dependencies and the British Overseas Territories a great unfairness, and it is time to end the outdated system of treating them like Colonies.

    Should UK Overseas Territories have representation in Westminster?

    The panel consisted of Falklands MLA Roger Edwards, Andrew Rosindell, MP,  Philip Smith of FOTBOT, and Fabian Picardo, Chief Minister of Gibraltar.

    A recent formation of the Friends of the British Overseas Territories, FOTBOT, had an interesting participation at the British parties conferences this season with fringe meetings open to the public and panel discussions on political issues pertaining to the British Overseas Territories, including whether BOT's should have representation in Westminster.
