  Falkland Islands Government attend Party Conferences

  

  The Falkland Islands Government attended both the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester (1st to 4th October) and the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool (8th to 11th October) and met with a number of senior politicians from both parties, including Cabinet and Shadow Cabinet Ministers, to discuss issues of importance to the Islands, alongside welcoming MPs, Councillors and Party Members to the Falkland Islands stand.

It has been the Islands’ policy to attend these conferences to put their views across and to keep in touch with the political system and UK public opinion, their most effective support to ensure Falklands' self determination.

  Falklands MLAs and Sukey Cameron will be present at UK parties’ conferences

  

  Falkland Islands Members of Legislative Assembly will be present at the annual party conferences in United Kingdom. MLA Sharon Halford and MLA Roger Edwards left for the UK on Tuesday and will be joined for their task by the Falkland Islands Government (FIG) London Representative Sukey Cameron MBE.
