    First opening of the QE2 floating hotel in Dubai

    QE2, has just gone through 2.7 million man-hours of transformation and is now permanently docked at Mina Rashid in Dubai.

    The UAE’s new floating hotel, Queen Elizabeth 2, will be opening its doors to the public soon, and ahead of the big day, some images have emerged of what the refurbished cruise ship will look like inside. The once world-renowned ocean liner that sailed the oceans for years, also known as QE2, has just gone through 2.7 million man-hours of transformation and is now permanently docked at Mina Rashid in Dubai.

    Cunard celebrates Queen Elizabeth 50th anniversary with Mediterranean cruise

    Celebrations culminate on QE2 Day - 20 September 2017 - exactly 50 years since the ship was launched by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

    Luxury cruise brand Cunard, is honoring the 50th anniversary of its longest serving ocean liner, QE2, with a special voyage onboard the luxury cruise liner Queen Elizabeth. The 50th anniversary of this much-loved ship will be remembered as Queen Elizabeth sets sail from Southampton on Friday 8 September for a 17-night voyage. Departing guests will enjoy Venice's iconic canals, mythical Mount Etna in Sicily and Corfu's leafy beauty.

    The new Cunard cruise ship ‘Queen Elizabeth’ called into Gibraltar for the first time on Friday. She is scheduled to become a frequent visitor to the Rock returning later this month with more port calls next year.
