On Tuesday 4th December 2007 the Falkland Islands experienced its biggest ever cruise ship day, welcoming 3,779 passengers from three different vessels in to the heart of Stanley.

The third highest waterfall in the world is in the Peruvian Amazon rain forest and measures 895.4 meters according to the country's Nacional Geographic Military Institute, IGN. The announcement was made by Foreign Trade and Tourism minister Mercedes Araoz.

Uruguay expects good tourist season: 1.8 million in 2007

An estimated 1.8 million tourists will have visited Uruguay in 2007, a figure similar to that of last year, with income in the range of 750 million US dollars. However “prospects for 2008 are more encouraging given the increased connectivity of Uruguay in the region”, said on Tuesday Deputy Tourism minister Liliam Kechichian.

British Airways daily flight to Gibraltar in smaller craft

British Airways will operate one daily flight to Gibraltar using a 737 300 which is likely to feature up to 30 club seats and 89 economy. And, as the EasyJet takeover of GB Airways remains to be completed, flights on the current GB Airways schedule are still being sold into the spring in addition to the BA flights. But it is not clear that these will be sustained.
