“I will not ask permission to the United Kingdom, because it is them that are usurping Argentine land, and in this we shall not yield, or claudicate or have good manners for that matter” “I will not ask permission to the United Kingdom, because it is them that are usurping Argentine land, and in this we shall not yield, or claudicate or have good manners for that matter”

Argentine president Alberto Fernandez has repeatedly said that the “Malvinas question” is a matter of State and his government “will continue to pursue sovereignty over the Malvinas Islands until we recover the territory, which is currently usurped by the United Kingdom”.

“We will continue to demand what belongs to Argentina. We shall do it in international forums, peacefully but will never cease to do so”, the Argentine president insisted in his latest remarks on the issue.

And in this point “I will not ask permission to the United Kingdom, because it is them that are usurping Argentine land, and in this we shall not yield or claudicate or have good manners for that matter”

President Fernandez recalled that his government recently sent to congress a bill which established the outer limits of the Argentine continental shelf, “approved by the United Nations, where ”we obviously have a conflict with the United Kingdom through the usurpation of our islands“

”And that is going to be a standing demand for Argentina, for which we shall never yield“ underlined Fernandez, who also criticized the Malvinas policy during the former president Macri administration.

”Unfortunately in the previous four years there was a certain backtracking because government did not apply the necessary emphasis that the issue demands when claiming Argentine sovereignty over those territories and adjacent sea“

Fernandez added that a lack of State policy in the Malvinas question allowed ”a strong advance of the UK over these lands and the sea“.

Finally the Argentine president said that his government decided the creation of a National Advisory Council on Issues relative to Malvinas, South Georgia and South Sandwich islands ”to continue claiming Argentine rights over those islands and which will have members from government, opposition and the Malvinas Veterans.

    DT,

“Lol at the mask. I've seen suggestions to make them out of t-shirts and socks, but not flags.”

This is his unique way to show honour for the flag - cut it up, wrap it round his face and blow his spittle, halitosis, nose mucus and COVID-19 virii into it. Nice!
