Several non-government organizations (NGOs) focused on environmental issues Wednesday launched an accusation against the government of Brazil for violating international treaties and devastating the Amazon.

In a letter to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Secretary-General head Angel Gurría and Mathias Cormann, who is to succeed him on June 1, the NGOs pressed from Brazil's exclusion from that body.

”Giving a vote of confidence to the Brazilian government would be a harsh message (...) it would perpetuate offenses against international norms on climate protection such as the Paris Agreement,“ the letter read.

The note is endorsed by 61 NGOs, including Greenpeace, WWW Brazil, Amazon Cooperation Network, Juste Foreign Policy, and the Socio-environmental Institute.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has often criticized the Paris Agreement for considering it a violation of ”national sovereignty“ and expressed his intention to denounce that pact.

”The Brazilian government deconstructed various councils that guarantee social participation, such as the National Environment Council, and sought to obstruct access to information“ on problems such as deforestation, the note said.

Since 2019, when Bolsonaro came to power, deforestation rates in the forest skyrocketed, according to the National Institute for Space Research, whose director was fired.

Bolsonaro formally applied to join the OECD and promised to comply with the guidelines established by the organization in economic, commercial, and environmental matters.

The letter, which recommends rejecting Brazil's application, blames the South American country's government for the ”increase in deforestation in the Amazon,“ where burning destroyed ”11,085 km2 in 2020, approximately 100 times the area of Paris where OECD has its headquarters”.

Chile, Colombia, and Mexico are the only Latin American countries already accepted into the OECD.

This is an evil attack specifically upon the Bolsonaro government as the Amazon deforestation was just as terrible during the corrupt Lula and Dilma administrations AND the international organizations have not equally addressed the OTHER Amazon basin countries that are causing severe devastation as well.

The international agreements are a farce as we now know China emits far more carbon into our atmosphere than ALL of the other nations combined!

Lula’s staunch defender is Skippy who uses the identity of Terence Hill.

I’m having a delightful debate with Skippy on the “Former health minister: Bolsonaro wanted chloroquine brochure re-written to have it used against covid-19” thread.

Terence Hill has all-but-admitted that he is the social media maniac Skippy:

    Regarding telling big porkys...

I demasked Terence Hill as Skippy Jessop using the same software professors use to discover plagiarism and the two identities perfectly matched!

Terence’s mother however seems to be a delightful mother that supports her son as a “wing mom” — you can’t make this crazy stuff up as Terence has posted it across the Internet!

“Amazon deforestation was just as terrible during the ... Lula and Dilma administrations”
    No proof no truth.
“An assertion is a statement offered as a conclusion without supporting evidence. Since an argument is defined as a logical relationship between premise and conclusion, a simple assertion is not an argument.”

Skippy is solely your muse, it's perfect the pathetic obsessing over the pathetic, show us more of your fantasies.

“Skippy who uses the identity of Terence Hill.”

Hmm that's pretty hard for someone that was born in 1976, at the earliest, to be enlisted in the RAF in 1963. Someones been caught telling another porky.
