    LatinoLife In The Park is now the UK’s largest Latin music festival

    The Latin American community in London is one of the fastest growing. Around half of the 145,000 Latin Americans who live in the UK, reside in London.

    Bringing together South American, Spanish and Portuguese communities in London, the LatinoLife in the Park Festival, which spotlights the richness of Latin music and culture, is now the largest event of its kind in the UK. Every year the festivities take place following a vibrant procession of hundreds of dancers and drummers.

    French Overseas Territory under curfew following changes in Paris to voting bill

    “Soldiers from the armed forces have been deployed to secure the New Caledonia ports and the airport,” Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announced in Paris.

    France declared a 12-day state of emergency in the Overseas Territory of New Caledonia, following riots and arson that left at least four people killed. The trigger of the violence came after the French assembly in Paris passed a contentious voting bill, according to New Caledonia High Commissioner Louis Le Franc, who said that “a curfew and a ban on TikTok” were now in force.

    Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's decision to have Jean-Paul Prates removed as CEO of the State-run oil company Petrobras resulted in shares dropping more than 8% at the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange on Wednesday. Ordinary shares (PETR3) fell 8.36% while preferred shares (PETR4) went down 6.75%, it was reported. In addition, Petrobras' ADRs (American Depositary Receipt) in New York were down around 7.5% on Wednesday.

    President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has ordered a reshuffle at the top of Brazil's state-run oil company Petrobras, with Magda Chambriard replacing Jean-Paul Prates as CEO, Agencia Brasil reported. Following the head of state's decision late Tuesday, the board of directors approved the early termination of Prates' term Wednesday morning. In the meantime, and until Chambriard takes office, Corporate Affairs Executive Director Clarice Coppetti has been appointed on an interim basis.
