The Group of Seven, G7, of industrialized nations said in Washington it was committed to accelerate global economic growth in the coming months, in spite of some lingering risks.

In a joint statement the G 7 Group pointed out that economic growth "in our countries is continuing although at a more moderate rate than at the beginning of the year".

In reference to Argentina the Group stressed it was prepared to help through the IMF in the context of a sustainable program, and regarding Brazil it praised the "country's continued commitment with responsible economic policies".

Further on G 7 reiterated their intention to spur economic growth which has slowed down in the United States and Europe, while in Japan it still has to take off.

"We're committed to positive economic policies, structural reform and to work jointly" to improve corporate financial responsibilities and strengthen the independence of the auditing system.

"We trust these policies together with a continued vigilance and cooperation will reinforce growth in the coming months, and therefore support a sustained expansion".

The G 7 includes USA, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Britain and Canada.

But in spite of the promised recovery, financial experts warned that several G 7 countries have constrained budgets, "leaving few options to stimulate demand".
