I wonder if she will trot out the same old lies and half truths? Its odds on she will, but, this time most people will know how ridiculous she has become and unpopular home and away.

With the prospect of war with Iran and the worldwide riots over a silly film is the general assembly going to care what CFK has to say about the Falklands? I'm pretty sure they already know the gist of it. It's not like she hasn't had a moan before.

When she goes to Georgetown and Harvard, two very old and well respected educational institutions, they will eat her alive. Georgetown she probably will not be asked anythng as it's a dedications to an argentine course and she “volunteered” , was not invited. Harvard is the JFK School of Politics forum. She will get roasted there is she even shows once she finds out they will be asking her “anything” in an open forum from current student.

Here in Argentina we are heavily protesting the Kirchner administration, their endless corruption in every corner of the government, stealing of public funds, outright lies to the public about everything from security to the economy to official inflation figures.
Today we start a new protest in Argentina - it's called the “ANTI-KK campaña”. In our language “KK” is pronounced KaKa, and that is what we think of the Kirchner administration.
We ask all citizens against the Kirchner “KK” regime to leave a bag of excrement or bring your dog to defecate on the steps of Congress, on the steps of the Casa Rosada, or in front of the door of any office of “La Cámpora” or another militant organization of this joke of a president called “Kolina”.
Leave bags of excrement, or garbage or any other repulsive, non-dangerous item that stinks on the steps of or in front of any of these government related places. This is a peaceful protest, non-violent, and will send a strong message to the “KaKa” government that is destroying lives in Argentina.

I don't think a bag of your own faeces can be categorised as “non-dangerous” - especially if thousands start doing the same. It's called a public health hazard and not a good idea.

On the question of CFK - can Argentine posters advise under what circumstances she does get asked direct questions which she has to answer? I know she never accepts interviews from the press but does she never have to answer questions from anyone - even in parliament?

Argentina: Supermarket consumption projected to grow by 5%

Mass consumption of foods, beverages and toiletry products in the supermarket channel will grow 5% this year, predicted industry sources.

“In volume, the increased consumption from supermarkets this year will be 5%” compared with 2011, said Daniel Fernandez Carrefour network president.

“Retail is very competitive. Costs are stable if there is no reason to raise prices,” said Fernandez to the press when asked about the request made yesterday by President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner to entrepreneurs for more investment and price stability after announcing an increase in universal allocations.

He added that consumption is good. “Prices are not moving up and down. The issue is the cost, where we must seek additional efficiencies.”

On another note, he said the supermarket covers a third of retail sales in Argentina, which determines that is has potential for growth and expansion, the reason why it is penetrating the market with new formats.

He said that even “in Brazil and Colombia, the development of the sector is greater”.

On the supply of low-cost food, Fernandez explained that “our responsibility is to try to encourage access to consumption.

”This option exists since 2009 and we have been changing every 15 days through various menus. Ther are 40 products, 10 of which have subsidized prices through the chain,” he explained.

Not to change the subject, but shit is starting to hot the fan in RGland. Economides (oil and energy consultants) are claiming that no oil company will invest a penny in argentine shale fields with seeing the Repsol is reimbursed. The thought of investing billions based on words and even contracts is meaningless compared to actions. Her attitude could be tested during a meeting Thursday with Exxon Mobil Corp. CEO Rex W. Tillerson to discuss new joint ventures. Her botox lips or a handjob is not going to work on him. He already is of the mindset that no compensation to Repsol means no on vestment in argentina. I think all oil companies are of the mindset.

@48 I can't think CFKC has anything to offer Iran.

Argentina has one of the largest Jewish populations in the world outside of Israel and the USA. It also has a huge anti-islamic sentiment amongst people there - despite having a very large mosque in BsAs and being one of the more tolerant SoAm countries.

Do I think Israel will bomb Iran? It is quite possible. If it happens it will be Islam vs The Rest of the World, so CFKC will have picked the wrong side if she thinks Argentina will be made an exception because of cosying up to Iran.

Her rapport with the audience seemed very good, she handled each questioner with grace and charm and the questioners themselves, randomly selected by lottery from those who applied to go, didn't seem the lynch posse the ClarinMiente trolls were trying to whip up on the comments box =) I liked how at the end Cristina overuled the moderator to take even more questions, showing just how open and democratic she is =)

Ah your realcolours are showing, you bigot! Look on the bright side, in Argentina you're a “foreigner” so you might get to vote for the anti-foreign-votes opposition!

Bigot? your moron.....how do you conclude I am a bigot, because I used the gay question as an example. I really could care less who marries whom. Ok shitbowel, when they have something to decide, do they pose questions to the public with a question to vote on.....anything, Death with Dignity, Raise taxes or cut budgets, mandatory labeling or genetically altered foods, dothey? DOn't anwser with a question. Are the people voting on the question to lower the voting age and allow foreigners to vote via a ballot question? We do in the USA

#69 Because you used gays, foreigners and youth as your three examples, I thought that looked conservative to say the least, and probably bigoted. Most countries don't have the US ballot system you mentioned, and even in America it isn't always used where it should be, like with Iraq perhaps?!
