Punta Arenas airport is planning to double the area of the passengers' terminal and increase the number of jet bridges from three to five, as part of a major expansion program given the increase in annual commercial traffic at the President Carlos Ibañez del Campo Airport, which has been double the Chilean average.     Good move, they can then pinch even more of Ushuaia's cruise traffic. Nicer destination anyway.

    True. Ushuaia is in a beautiful location; the scenery is stunning. The town, however, is drab and scruffy with not much to offer. I think I mentioned here a conversation I had with a local man when I asked what on earth they do for recreation. He told me they have a cinema and dancing on Saturdays but mostly they have affairs to pass the time. Haha.
