Punta Arenas airport is planning to double the area of the passengers' terminal and increase the number of jet bridges from three to five, as part of a major expansion program given the increase in annual commercial traffic at the President Carlos Ibañez del Campo Airport, which has been double the Chilean average. True. Ushuaia is in a beautiful location; the scenery is stunning. The town, however, is drab and scruffy with not much to offer. I think I mentioned here a conversation I had with a local man when I asked what on earth they do for recreation. He told me they have a cinema and dancing on Saturdays but mostly they have affairs to pass the time. Haha.
