    What an IMPRESSIVE Record!
1º: Shouldn't Dr. Marcelo Odebrecht enter into politics?
2º: Doesn't he have ALL the Qualifications, Experience, AND Talent to be one of the Future Presidents of Brazil?

If Trump can; certainly Odebrecht can be the President of Brazil. Both have similar “Gifts of God” anyway!

Here is the list of politicians which he can include in his team:

If so he'd be running the country from a prison cell. Perhaps that would be fitting. ;)

Being imprisoned for corruption during the political career is a fundamental/basic qualification and a necessary Status Symbol - not necessarily in Brazil alone!

@The numbnuts who belive the 9-fingered mollusc is innocent of all charges under his 6 separate indictments :

I suppose that Odebrecht has pleaded guilty and is paying US$ 3.5 Bn in fines, because they have nothing better to do with their money ....for Lula, the worst is still to come...if he thinks he's going through hell now, wait until the contents of all the Odebrecht plea-bargains become public...promising entertainment for March 2017...

Hi, JB! REF: “I suppose that Odebrecht has pleaded guilty and is paying US$ 3.5 Bn in fines”:

Pl. don't forget that they are supposed to pay the amount during 20 or so years.

So during these 20 years, one can safely guess that the governments will change, their policies & priorities will change, laws will change, Odebrecht can be pardoned, may get discounts, etc, etc, etc. MANY - unimaginable - events can change the course of the present “investigations” during the passage of time.

As the result, ultimately, Odebrecht will end up paying practically NOTHING, become stronger & more powerful and consequently more corrupt!

After all; a leopard can't change his spots! http://www.sherv.net/cm/emo/sad/sad-face.gif

Can't say I don't partially agree with your pessimism...after all, we both know how the “3 Poderes” work....to protect themselves....always in detriment of the population.
More important than the specific 'Caixa 2' crimes being punished, is that the 9-fingered mollusc rot in jail, along with his dirty, corrupt family.

Well JB, Sorry to sound pessimistic.

But as long as the special privileges and protection for the “crooks in high places” continue and as long as the general population continues to remain apathetic to such a legal system; no drastic changes are likely to take place.

Just a FEW Recent Small Examples:

While the masses are suffering due to the economic crisis - Brazil's politicians vote to GIVE THEMSELVES 62% pay rise:

What I said was “não posso discordar totalmente com o seu pessimismo”...or, basically, you are right....the politicians continue to think they are in a world apart from the real Brazil...and in fact, they are....their world sucks the life out of our's and they couldn't care less.

So it’s confirmed Moro is both a prosecutor and the judge. Which is clear breach of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
Part 3 (Articles 6 – 27) lists the rights themselves. These include rights to procedural fairness in law, in the form of rights to due process, a fair and impartial trial. “Goals or aspirations can develop into binding norms over time, if they become accepted as customary international law … Universal Declaration (of Human Rights), ”constitutes an authoritative interpretation of the Charter of the highest order, and has over the years become part of customary international law.” https://cdn2.sph.harvard.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/13/2014/04/16-Hannum.pdf “Moro even publicly participated in the launch of a book entitled “Lava Jato” (Car Wash), which has his picture on the cover and which treats him hagiographical, whilst it demonizes Lula by placing him “in the centre of Car Wash”. … It is unprecedented, in terms of security and ethical judicial behaviour, for a judge to endorse, publicly, with a book that condemns a man whom he will try.”
Lula’s complaint to International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) https://cdn2.sph.harvard.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/13/2014/04/16-Hannum.pdf
“Lula da Silva filed on Thursday a lawsuit against Attorney General Deltan Dallagnol for defamation and asking for R$1 million from the coordinator of the Lava Jato (Car Wash) mega-corruption scandal Task Force. … According to Lula’s attorneys, the ex-President’s honour and image were attacked during the press conference in September when the prosecutors’ office filed a complaint against Lula.
“No citizen should receive the treatment given to Lula by Prosecutor Dallagnol, much less before there is a fair and impartial trial. The criminal process does not authorize authorities to expose the image, honour and reputation of the accused persons, much less in national network and with clearly offensive terms

Your posts and your conclusions, without the slightest foundation, are just too unbelievable to waste my time on...besides, when are you going to learn that the law which prevails in Brazil is the “Brazilian” Constitution ? But it's good to see you whining, it means you are suffering with the poor little, innocent toad. And of course, mustn't forget that the Swiss and the American authorities, along with the Brazilian Federal police have no clue what they are talking about.
And last but not least, please refrain from sending me your silly posts in 2017.

“when are you going to learn that the law which prevails in Brazil is the “Brazilian” Constitution”
Exactly what I had in mind when I posted my previous conclusion, but more importantly it is also the view of Lula’s qualified legal team. Whereas your view is based entirely on your unqualified expertise.
    “Article 3. The fundamental objectives of the Federative Republic of Brazil are: I - to build a free Just and solidary society;
TITLE II Fundamental Rights and Guarantees
    CHAPTER I
Individual and Collective Rights and Duties
X - the privacy, private life, honour and image of persons are inviolable, and the right to compensation for property or moral damages resulting from their violation is ensured;”

REF: “Odebrecht breaks another penalty record”: Funny, the Guinness Book of World Records has not yet registered the innumerable records of Odebrecht! This itself is quite remarkable. But the most remarkable of it all is the lack of interest/reaction from the Brazilians!

    @TH
You still don't get it, do you ? and to call Lula's lawyers a “qualified team” ? You are thicker than I thought. Lula's lawyers have become the laughing stock of legal experts....Lula's defense has been crushed, and his lawyers carry on insisting on the indefensible. The fact that I am not a legal expert is neither here nor there....I, like half of Brazil are just accompanying what the Swiss, American and Brazilian authorities are saying, but of course, YOU know better than them.
It's no use quoting principled articles from the Brazilian Constitution unless you understand what they mean...while they state:
“Article 3. The fundamental objectives of the Federative Republic of Brazil are: I - to build a free Just and solidary society;”, this also includes not using your political position to divert billions in taxpayer's money, through corruption in State-controlled companies, for personal gain......which brings me to just one simple question for you, that is, if you are capable of answering it honestly...which I doubt...but here goes :
    - Do you believe that the authorities from 3 countries - Switzerland, the USA, and Brazil - are merely prosecuting Lula for his political views, that all charges are bogus (despite plea-bargain confessions, and tons of documents to back them up), and that he is the victim of some wild, international conspiracy, promoted by the 'elites' in Brazil ???
It's just to see where you're coming from...a simple 'yes/ no' will suffice.

“Mustn't forget that the Swiss and the American authorities,”
How could we since nothing pertaining to Lula has emanated from those authorities it must be another of your innumerable porkies.
“This also includes not using your political position to divert billions in taxpayer's money” What ever lobbying work he had done post presidency, is not illegal. Unless you can produce where in the Brazilian Constitution it is so barred.

Porkies ? that statement just proves how screwed up you are.
    But, answer my question.....
....or does your love for Lula prevent you from answering it honestly ? you answer questions with questions, because you are an idiot.
Your feeble mind never ceases to amaze me - I'm not talking about lobbying work, numbnuts, I am referring to plain, straightforward corruption, and whether it all happened before or after he left the presidency is irrelevant ...he benefited personally from all the PT corruption, from 2005 until end 2014.....all his cronies are either already in prison , or going there.....Dirceu, Genuíno, Vaccari Neto, Palocci, Bumlai.... you need to be really stupid to believe in Lula's innocence, or that he was not manipulating Dilma like the daft puppet she is.....but of course, if you want a corruption scandal that surfaced during his presidency, what about the 'mensalão', uncovered in 2005 and denounced in 2007...he only survived because he made a deal to bring the PMDB into the fold (Temer becoming Dilma's VP ring a bell ??)
If there was an MP prize for stupidity, you'd take it.
Once again, answer my question - yes/no - or get lost...

So the Swiss and the American authorities, haver never uttered a word concerning Lula. I knew as much, as I have a number of search criterias that would have revealed any such instance. Moreover, you cannot produce any such occurrence. Therefore you are revealed in all your glory as a complete and utterly discredited liar.

As you know, Emílio Odebrecht regularly traveled with the former president Lula da Silva to meet heads of state. So the trick will be to separate Petrobras from Odebrecht.

If at all this is possible - as receiving bribes is so “habit-forming” - the corrupt bureaucrats and politicians will never stop to invent new ways of money laundering!

So watch Petrobras continue to remain as a White Elephant and the Brazilians paying for the damage by tightening their belts - year after year!

Up to now. And of course, your search critera beats anything the Brazilian Federal task force has at its disposal; Looks like you are unaware that the only reason Lula has not been charged with having an illegal offshore account (fed by bribes) is because his current account was maintained and managed inside Obedbrecht's special bribe department....to the order of only R$ 23 million....in other words, he always found spome scheme thtat would allow him plausible deniability, but this time, he has been caught....the other charges, involving the 'triplex' falt in Guarujá, the country home in Atibaia, the mansion in Punta del Este are just the cherry on the cake....never in his name, but owned and used by only him and his family. I'd like to have friends like he does, that give you everything and ask for 'nothing' (really ?) in return...
Perhaps you change your search criteria, as you are always miles behind the “Lavajato” prosecutors.
Once again, why don't you answer my question, posted way above ?...or are you scared you ridiculous, pompous, stupid cnut ?
